This is more of a BRUSHED gold, very nice color
The media could not be loaded. PlastiDip is my go-to base coat for all my cosplay builds. It adheres well to just about everything and gives a nice, even and smooth surface for painting. It's flexible, so it won't crack easily if at all.Decided to try this gold as a base for the comic book version of Wonder Woman's Golden Eagle armor. I knew it wouldn't be bright, but I figured this would save time in painting - instead of the two-step process of base coating and then going over it with plaid fx gold (which the color I needed was no longer available anyway), I could just use this and then go back and paint in the dimension accents.I'm glad I tried it out on these smaller boot accent pieces first and not the entire armor set, although it wouldn't have been terrible - - still works as a base coat. The gold is not as bright as I need it to be, but it's still very pretty with a shimmer to it. It's more of a tannish gold color. Will go over it with a gold lustre wax which should brighten these pieces up.I've tried most of the plastidip products in different colors and the only color that is weird to work with is the white. I've used red as a base coat on armor that needed to have a bright red sheen and added the metallizer as a top coat and it just looks fantastic.Recommend 100%.

Brighter than expected
Product works perfectly. The color come out brighter than what is advertised on the cap. It’s a matte gold, I thought it was going to be a little more antique/copperish color when dried.

Expensive
It's 10 shipping on a 10 dollar can, that's unreal, worked fine but color is not as expected
