It actually works! And it was actually easy!
I don't know what else to say about it other than show the pictures. It took me awhile to get started. I admittedly was overwhelmed. But the set up was easier than I made it out to be. Doesn't weigh too much. It's sturdiness. Effective. I like the size because it fits on my counter. And now I have a full garden in my kitchen. It's awesome. Can't wait for it to fruit. I have been trying to grow veggies forever and I have never gotten this far before. In the soil they were always way to limp/thin, etc.

Worth every penny!
I am in love with this thing! I have a brown thumb and have never been able to grow anything to save my life! Thanks to this I now have ample tomatoes l, basil, dill, broccoli, cucumbers, bell peppers and more! I bought this on a whim when I lost my job figuring I should grow my own food before I starve. Everything sprouts quickly and the automatic timer for the light ensures the seeds get all the light they need. The pump works wonders for regulating the water and making sure all of the seeds get the nutrients they need. I love this thing and will continue to use it for a long time to come! Its lightweight even when full, and a nice size so I can keep it just about anywhere. Best part is that its quiet too!

Great customer service and easy to use
I've been using this since last summer, and it works great. It is incredibly easy to use. You literally fill it up with water, mix the provided fertilizer with water in the provided bottles (very hard to mess it up, since it's so clearly marked), pour the measured amount into the water, and chuck a few seeds (provided) into the spongy pods (aslo provided). And up comes your plants. I grew some of the delicious herbs it came with (two iterations), and after that, grew some notoriously difficult-to-grow lavender plants. Those are now standing at about 7-9" high, and will be going into individual pots to be moved to the garden in a month or two. However, as easy as all that was, I have to commend them on their customer service. I had some questions on fertilizer, and they responded very quickly, with friendly and helpful answers. Same with some follow-up questions. I wanted to buy some fertilizer without the plastic bottles (becasue I already have those, and there's no sense in getting more when the ones I have are still fine), but they don't offer the fertilizer as a separate product. They said that they would probably start offering that, for people who do not need the additional bottles, and who care about adding plastic to the ecosystem. They also recommended not buying fertilizer in bulk, as it is water-soluible and can easily spoil -- which I didn't know. I wholeheartedly recommend buying this product from this vendor, becasue of the ease of use, and even more so because of the great customer service, which is so hard to find these days. Edit: Since I raved about their customer service, I thought I'd add a few lines from their emails. Seriously, I don't even care if this was AI-generated, or randomly added by some nice-line editor (neither seems likely), but I appreciate the fact that someone at GardenCube cared enough to make it happen. - This was the first one, after I requested some support: "We hope you find this helpful and thank you for your support and interest in GardenCube." - Then when I asked a follow-up question, where I suggested they sell the fertilizer mix without the included plastic bottles: "Thank you again for being considerate of the environment, the world will be a better place because of you." - Later, after another follow-up question: "Wishing you all the love and happiness that you so richly deserve." - And most recently, after a question before I bought a larger one (12-pod; my first one was an 8-pod) of their planters: "I hope this experience will leave you with great memories :)" Seriously? :-) Someone needs to give their customer service people a bonus. I don't know where they are, but I feel like going there and buying them all lunch. Oh, and a follow-up on the lavender I mentioned above, is that they are now all too big for the planter, and will be moved to pots over the weekend. In a month or two they'll be outside, keeping the mosquitos away.

Judgement Still Out - Updated
UPDATE, 28 May 23, Appears problem with first crop was more about the seeds than the unit. Still there was a problem with the included seed pods that were left, but new pods worked fine and 2nd crop is growing pretty well. So I am keeping this unit. I think the $40 i paid is a fair price. I've seen the price vary and go up to about $58. Seems high IMO. At that price I'd check all options, there are many. I have this 8 pod unit and a 12 pods unit. A problem both share is once growth takes off it gets very crowded fast. No problem if you're going to replant stuff in dirt but not as productive if you're using these stand alone. Upgrading rating to a 4. Will update again in about 6 months to report how it holds up over time. Original Review - Bought this kit on sale when listed for $40. The kit is mostly plastic and feels a bit flimsy but if you're careful it should be fine. The lights and pump work as intended. I really like that the light array can be angled up 90 degrees. It allows easy access to the back row of pods and should make cleaning easier as well. But again be careful when handling. So far with the first crop results not impressive. Three of the grow pods developed mold and only 2 grow pods sprouted. Not sure if it's the system or the seeds ( no seeds come with the kit). I am trying different seeds that worked well in my other kit - we'll see. Noticed the cages for the grow pods are shorter than my other kit and the grow pods seem to sit too high. Am experimenting with some of the grow pods by cutting a bit off the tip - we'll see. Considering the quality for an 8 pod unit and assuming I can get the growing kinks worked out , $40 seems like a fair price. It appears its regular price is around $60 and at that I'd think twice. For now final judgment is on hold. Will update and reevaluate later

They deliver their word and Product!
I really love the Garden Cube. I have ordered two and the motor went out on one. I was heartbroken as I had my babies already planted. I contacted the company and they were genuinely concerned. They sent me two free motors, the other to have on hand in case of motor failure. I was very excited and installed the motor immediately. It works like a charm. My first Garden Cube grew my lettuce perfectly. I had at least 3 salads and several lettuce and tuna wraps. I highly respect any company that stands by their product and their word as it's getting harder and harder to find. I also highly recommend this company.

The pump failed pretty quick only managed to use it to grow fully once and then the pump was gone it would be nice to get a replacement as the rest is still good. Noticed algae growing in it which is strange as it is indoors and has no way of getting into the water.
