Maximum temperature rating?

It should be used on cold water ,but it does take the Yuma Az. Heat ,it was as hi as 123 F. last summer it is still working fine , it has O rings in it I feel hot water will harm them , how ih ,hard to say,if you want it for hot water go with a brass ball valve, not p.v.c.,at least that's what I would do , hope this helps Mcgyver

The valve is for a RO tank ,tank should have 6to8 psi in the blatter, that is what it was made for ,it only has a 1/4 hose fitting you could put more air in the tank , some tanks will hold 80 to a 100 psi ,but if your water psi is at 65 coming in to the tank ,when the tank is full and the R O shut off ,you could have 40 psi in the tank , you need less psi in the tank or it will not fill, the valve will hold the psi no problem

Use a ton of thread tape.

Had put what I thought was plenty of thread tape on and tightened it down quite a bit, still leaked. Took it off and added a lot more thread tape and tightened it down quite a bit again, no leaks so far after that. Almost seems like the threads are too deep so it won't bottom out on the male threads and seal at the top. Also being plastic it expanded enough that it just needs a ton of thread tape to make up for it.Overall I got it to stop leaking and the thing works, but would probably prefer a stainless valve. Going to add a booster pump and this is the one thing I'm concerned with in the whole system. Just not sure if it will handle the extra pressure. Easy enough to change out if it does leak. Will update either way.

Finally one that functions fully.

This has been my 5th ball valve for my O.S. water tank and finally has not been leaking or breaking after 3 months. With some others will only last about a week if i'm lucky maybe 2 months.
