An amazing book. Reading it was a journey across space and time. Very well researched. The details are exquisite and candid.

I liked this book because it covers almost all the aspects of Neanderthal life and existence in a lucid and scientific manner. Some parts of the book are very technical and hence somewhat difficult to understand for a lay reader. Still the book as a whole is engaging and enjoyable. I also liked the 'philosophical touch' author has given to some of the topics.

Classic example of how not to write a science book. Too technical and over stuffed.Probably the most boring science book I’ve read so far .And the font is minuscule. Put a great strain on the eyes.
