I read reviews of this Carafe, which those are slightly mixed. I ordered it any way, and I am very glad I did. Here is what I can truthfully tell you. For the readers in the USA. This carafe holds two 12 cup pots of coffee. I have a commercial Bunn, and make two pots of coffee and fill the vessel. It stays hot as long as I am drinking coffee. Even when the next day, emptying it and rinsing it out, it stays quite warm. Not scalding but steamy is the right description. I do not drink day old coffee. The reviews specifically talk about the lid. The Lid is just fine folks, just don't untighten it with the handle alone. Use you head, and know that the handle of the lid is a handle, but use your hand around the handle and the exposed part of the lid and it should last you for a long time. Great product and it works as it should.

These things work great. I host outdoor morning events in the winter and these things keep coffee hot. My last event I missed one of the pots for cleaning at the end of the event, next day coffee was still very warm. I figured out the trick to cleaning so these urns are proving to be a great investment for me.

Poor quality. Can’t keep the tea warm for longer than two hours

Carafe worked well for our needs. Keep the coffee hot the entire day! Held a full 12 cup pot with room.Would have given 5 stars if the design of the top piece allowed for easier cleaning and drying. No leaks, good value and did what it was supposed to by keeping my coffee hot the entire day.

We drink 2 pots off coffee a day and sometimes problems arise over who drank the last cup and who should have made the next pot. With this, we make 2 pots in the morning and put it in the carafe (most of our 14 cup pot x2 fits), good to go all day without needing to reheat. That said, we are done with coffee by mid afternoon, so might need to be zapped in the microwave if a person drinks it in the evening depending on drinking temperature preference but it's perfect for us. Doesn't drip when pouring, and it seals tightly. When full, it is a bit heavy so using two hands to pour a cup is helpful until the level goes down some, but that's to be expected, just a note not a complaint.

It only holds hot drinks for 4-5 hours max

I keep this by my bedside and refill it with ice and water twice a day because I drink A LOT of water... The colder the better .... I am so happy with this carafe! By the time i need a refill (seriously like about 12 hours later) my last cup is as icy as the first was! I will only ever use this for ice water but I am so impressed with it that I will be buying another just like it for hot beverages.
