Lydell Short Layered Shaggy Wavy Full Synthetic Wigs 130 Copper Red

I have used many brands of wigs over the years. It was the first time for Lydell. The first wig I bought I was so impressed that I purchased two more. My hair dresser was very impressed with them. The color was spot on and they actually look real. I'll continue to purchase Lydell with any other styles they put out.

Don't recommend buying wigs from Amazon. They have likely been returned again and again as they are generally of poor quality.

Wig looked lovely coming out of the box, nice color, style but, alas, it's not for me. I have a very light complexion, so much that the sun has taken its toll. After MOHS surgery left me with a large scar down my natural part and considerably less hair (I thought my bad hair life couldn't get any worse but I was wrong), I thought I'd try a wig while my hair grew out. Despite the nice highlighting, the brown was too dark for me. Volume was another thing. I'm used to having very thin, fine hair that sits close to my head. With this wig, I looked like a cross between Dolly Parton and Rod Stewart. The wig was easily adjusted. The undercap was itchy which could be due to my scalp still being tender & not using a wig cap. Even though it didn't work for me, I'm still going to give it 4 stars as it's a nice wig & the price is great - this may be better for gals who are used to having volume in their hair (or have a lot of hair to begin with). Were I adept at hair styling, I'd try to thin it out a little. I've included several pictures: 1st one is outdoors on my head; other 4 are inside under a ceiling light. A couple show the interior mesh & adjustment bands.

I am not new to wig wearing but I always seem to come back to this particular wig by Lydell. I've had it in about 5 colors over the last 5 years. This gray is spot on to my hair now. The pros are you can style it in many ways including wearing a headband or putting some color in it, rooting it, putting product in it cutting it if too long, or thinning it out., there are tons of videos out there for any help or questions about wigs. This is a shag, and it hasn't gone out of style in over 50 years just like a pixie, there's different versions of both but it's a shag, you can rock it or tame it down whatever suits your personality on a chosen day of the week You can replace it every several months if you are wearing it a lot and not worry about having to spend a lot of money, The cons are: It's heavy, has a lot of permatese and it runs very large, that's it. If anyone has been wearing wigs and is reading this they will know that both Rene of Paris & Noriko have a lot of permatese, they can be heavy depending on the style and they have the same type of hook adjusters as does Estetica wigs and they also run very large, all of those are not $20 and usually start at on sale $100 or more. There is plenty of hair here and volume but again you can thin in out or just use your hands to smooth it down. For $20, no one can go wrong, of course color is everything and that is always the hardest part, but Lydell does have quite a selection in styles and color, so for anyone to write a negative review its because they either expected a $200 wig or maybe they just got a bag one which even happens with $200 wigs. Just like anything else in life you can buy your clothes at secondhand stores or shop Walmart, it's all in how you style it, what your sense of style is and confidence. It is truly a really nice wig, soft and believable.

My mother wore wigs, never thought I would. I am fortunate I've always had very healthy strong naturally soft wavy hair. Never had a perm, coloring or even a blow dryer has touched my hair. But when my husband was diagnosed with cancer my hair began to fall out in massive handfuls. Again I was lucky because I also had very thick hair so a few years passed with hair falling out before it began to show signs of bald spots and thinning. I'd been toying with the idea of shaving my head bald. Hubby said "just do it, hair grows back". But only this week I had the courage to do it and well, it looks hideous on me (I've seen many women who are gorgeous w/bald heads, I am NOT one of them!) but had hoped I'd look beautiful. Anyway got this wig today and I really like the style and color. I feel it looks fake but I have no choice now unless I want to go out bald which would be fine if I looked fab, which I don't. Maybe it looks fake because I know it is, maybe to others not knowing me will think it looks real. But for the price I am pleasantly pleased and surprised with how well it looks and also seems well made. I didn't wash it before trying it on and wore it a bit too, so kinda worried about that. I should've washed it. Oh well, too late now. I think this wig is well worth it's price. Update: After wearing a few times (about 4 times thus far) the hair is falling out. Also when the wind is strong the hair is layered so thinly you can see the cap. Quite embarrassing. Brushing it more hair falls out so not sure how long it will last if the hair keeps falling out. Explains why it was cheap.

I absolutely love this cut! This reminds me of the Sky wig from Noriko! I was pleasantly surprised that this wig arrived in tip top condition and the fibers are soft and silky. The cap is generous in sizing, I'm between a size average and large, so I really appreciate that. There are adjusters so if your head is smaller than 22 and 1/4, you can easily cinch it in. I love the color and I've told everybody in one of my Facebook wig groups about this wig. I have a feeling it's going to sell out soon! I better grab another! Highly recommend! UPDATE: love this wig so much that I ordered it in another color also! Really for the price, you cannot go wrong!
