I got this because I got tired of doing injection practice on oranges. It doesn't give the feel or realism of skin and you can tell that your needle is going into a foam block covered in soft plastic. An orange actually feels more realistic. This is why it gets 4 stars from me. It gets the job done though and gives the wearer the belief that they're about to get stuck even though you assure them they won't. It may not be good for realism in feel, but it's still good in reaction and handling people with psychological stress from fear of needles.

Helped my feel confident with intramuscular injections at my first job. The office I work at uses the one I got to help train new employees with immunization training, which is great for muscle memory.

It’s hard as a student to get a hold of the fake skin we use to practice injections in school; which is much more soft and flexible, but this is definitely fine for practicing IM injections such as the deltoid as you don’t have to pinch the skin or anything. It’s a bit hard to get needles through compared to a more silicone pad as well, and you won’t be able to just seamlessly pull the needle out so be aware of that. Overall, it was all I had at the time and I was still able to practice and pass my practicum, so I’m happy with it
