Make sure water is hooked to pump before start up
The water pump works better than I could have hoped for! Factory set pressure is perfect. The pump is so quite it can barely be heard while running. Highly recommend this pump. Quality is very good also.

Great pump!
I use it up the camp for water out and it works great. Comes on when you turn the faucet and shuts off when you close the faucet. We're straight in the shower. Keeps the water pressure. Nice noise level of the pump. Cannot hear it. It works great. Great value for the 💰The pump quality is very good

Pressure not adjustable, very poor quality
Very poor quality especially fittingsPlastic fittings are easily broken and hard to keep from leaking even with thread tape. Loud unit. Had to by a separate pressure regulator. Pressure adjustment would not turn at all. Would not buy again.

Good bang for the buck
You'll need to use a lot of Teflon tape around the inlet and outlet and a reducer if you want to use it for a 3/4 or 1/2 line, but it works well! I'm also a contractor and deal with a fair amount of plumbing. Not a plug and play type of system for those without plumbing experience. I use it on a garden hose supply line for extra water pressure when having summertime kids parties.

Toss both rolls of Teflon tape.
Right off the bat toss the rolls of Teflon tape which come with the pump. I did it all up with the supplied tape and had leaks. Ok went to my plumbing box and grabbed good stuff-Blue Monster tape and brush on sealant. After redoing all connections I turned on the water and yippee no leaks. The pump is great so far. Quiet and boosting my pressure very well. Wife is happy for the pressure boost so that’s always a good thing. Other then the junk Teflon tape I’m very happy with this product.

Works very well, so far, but installation is a nightmare
I bought this pump to boost our water pressure in the house, as it was at the low end. The pump replaces a Grundfos Scala, a piece of hardware that costs $925 on Amazon, was never impressive, failed miserably just after the warranty was over, is almost impossible to get serviced/repaired, at least in Northern New Mexico, and made an unbearable noise. To sum it up, that Grundfos pump was terrible and totally overpriced; but it had taken me 5 min to install!Considering the price, this new pump does an impressive job so far. It is half as loud as the Grundfos, starts and stop according to the water demand, and the pressure level is good. How long it will work remains to be seen, but from the outside, the build of the pump and the motor—all metal—makes a good impression.Connecting the pump itself and the controller is a nightmare, though. It took me two hours + two visits to the hardware store and a good 5 yards of high-quality professional Teflon tape. The threaded connections are very short, for one, which makes it rather difficult to make them watertight. But the main problem is the assembly that connects the controller itself to the pump. It is made of 3 short-threaded plastic parts, and the only purpose of this weird arrangement is to be able to connect the controller without removing the cable (controller and pump are delivered connected by a cable that is not shown on the pictures). To add to the problem, the arrangement comes with an o-ring that is way too weak and an other rubber gasket that has to be tightened very precisely by hand (too loose it leaks, too tight it leaks as well, to say nothing of a piece that comes with no gasket and will leak unless wrapped with a very long piece of Teflon tape. And of course, to check and correct all of this, one has to run up and down 15 times to turn the water on-off, on-off, on-off, etc.Had I known all of this, I would have disconnected the controller and connected it was a straight, one-piece male-male brass fitting. This would have been much, much faster and would have eliminated most of the potentially leaking connections.Having said all of this, the pump is incredible value —provided it lasts for a while…

Works great for the price!
We bought another that was $100 more and we had bought two of them now and they have both split open. This one has been great! Quieter too. So far so good!
