This item is quite realistic and gives a good effect. It does dry out and lift, but actually makes the effect better, as it lifts and looks like loose, blooded skin. If out for a few hours, would recommend topping up to retain the wet, fresh look.

It works really well and the sponge provided makes the blood a lot more realistic when you apply. It is a thick consistency which is why it doesn’t apply really runny but the sponge absorbs as much as it needs to to give you the look. Based on everyone else’s comments, you’ll know it stains your skin sometimes but if you apply sunscreen before you apply the fake blood, it will come off with soap :)

Great for Halloween

Very realistic unlike the cheap tube blood sold at Halloween. A little goes a long way!!! Update: I am ordering this again for this year (2024). I got blood gel from Spirit for this year but it’s too light and not realistic enough (Spirit is also runny like liquid, definitely not gel) and this is much more of a blood red thicker gel formulation. This gel is thick and is easy to apply. My one from last year turned runny after a year of being opened but it’s also expired so maybe the people getting a runny one got old stock. Maybe try to return it for a new one, it’s worth it!! I’m doing latex wounds and a slit throat this year so I’ll probably use this along with the Spirit blood to get a combination of effects.

The texture gets you where you want. Last all night... and more! The blood stains so be careful the day after and the day after tomorrow. Overall would buy again. Loved it!
