I wouldn't chance it...
I ordered these pillow case covers because I found a bed bug in my home. When I received the package, I checked the zipper and noticed that bed bugs would easily be able to escape. I can't prove this, but the zipper left a small gap. When I re-read the description, the purchaser describe fabric being bed bug proof, but I need the entire item to be bed bug proof. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend this product for use to control bed bugs, why chance it.
