Works with Hessaire cooler
My pump on the mc37v cooler went out and I did not want again to spend the high price for the 'hessaire' pump seen at sylvane. Read that people DO use normal aquarium pumps as replacements. Difference is that THIS pump is not plugged into the hessaire power harness but outside in a normal outlet. I guided the cord through the refill opening and into an elevated power strip. There are no screws to fasten the pump inside the base but luckily it can be squeezed between the existing screw molds. So far so good. It's running and wetting the pads just fine. Btw. don't forget to clean the spider tubes every now and then. They get gunky.Update: I don't know why I rated this pump with only 4 stars. It deserves 5 and I probably made a typo;(

Great little pump
We are using this to pump out about a 20-gallon in-ground fountain/pond for cleaning; so we are only needing about a 2-foot rise, but then have hosing connected to get the water away from the pond. It has made emptying dirty water SO much easier than using the wet-vac. This pump is small enough to be easy to store, small enough to easily fit into the pump well of the fountain, and cheap enough that if the dirty water eventually causes problems, we can inexpensively replace this, and be happy we didn't ruin our big pump.

Pretty decent, worth the money so far.
I am using this pump in a series of 2 rain barrels to irrigate plants that I winter over in my garage. The pump is barely able to lift the water to the stated height with enough pressure to make it to the plants, but it does work. I do have some concerns about the durability of the product, but that remains to be seen. So far, though, worth the price.

Quiet, plenty of flow, and priced well
So far so good. I waited to write a review till it at least ran for a few weeks. I have this in my sump returning water about 3' up to my 46g DT. Strong flow I had to turn it down a bit. Pump runs quiet and no issues as of yet. My only concern is the life span of these pump but for that only time will tell. I'm used to using Danner Mag Drives but I took a chance on this. For the price it's well worth it as of now.

Nice Little Pump
I replaced our old worn out pump with this one and couldn't be happier. It runs water to the top of our decorative fountain like a champ It's approximately four feet high and the water pressure up to the top is quite impressive, especially considering the low price point. Also it is virtually silent. With the ambient noise outside and the soothing sound of the water you can not hear the pump working at all.

may not be enough gph for your needs
this does work to power a small waterfall in pond but probably need a stronger motor for a full flow. also being small and small opening slats, it fills with debris quickly and shuts off the flow so at least twice a day one has to pull it out, scrape off the debris and replace. too high maintenance for me. I would get a stronger one unless this is for an aquarium. mine is a koi pond - had to give in and get a stronger gph pump which works great and was only about $47.

Excellent pump
I purchased this pump to replace a malfunctioning pump for my 3 foot high water fountain and it works admirably. This pump provides a very steady strong flow of water to my fountain, and the effect is quite dramatic, even when I set it to half strength.

Works great for empting my rain barrels
I use one pump for my 6 tier fountain that is over 6' high and it pushes water perfectly, in fact a little too much. I use another one to empty my rain barrels when they're full, it also pumps the water perfectly.
