Q: which side of your body does the foot loop go on?

I use mine on my left side, foot loop on my left foot and upper bunge clip attached to my suspenders on my saddle, because I have my foot ascender on my right foot. If your using foot ascender on the left it should be on the right. There are a lot of good YouTube videos on it. Highly suggest if you have never used it before to practice with it low to the ground and get very comfortable with clipping into and out of the system before getting to far off the ground. Can be tricky untill you get the hang of it. Really have grown to love this setup. Be safe. Hope this helped.

Q: This haas system come with built in foot straps?

Yes, the blue one does. The red one is for click-n-step.

Q: Does it work with 9mm rope?

Manufacturers recommendations are for up to 13mm line, I use mine with both 11.8 and 13 and it works well. Just inspect your line every time before you climb. The cams can and will wear the line, if your using it as an arborist highly recommend that you climb on a rope rated to ANSI standards, your family will appreciate it.
