Ananda White Backless Yoga Chair, Backbender-Ready, Extended Base Flexibility and Strength Training Tool

This was purchased as a prop for yoga.Before doing shoulder stands using two of these chairs, I decided to sat down in one of the .chairs.You see the result.

This is a sturdy, level chair that facilitates Iyengar yoga backbends and other supported poses. I did not order the supplemental back arch support because I wanted to tuck my arms between the front legs and grab the back legs for more chest opening. The chair works perfectly as is, for my purposes. I had been using a non-modified folding chair and this is so, so much better. It's great that the front cross bar is also removed.

Unfortunately—this chair lasted ONE yoga session. As a professional yoga therapist, this is unacceptable for the price. Poorly made. Would not recommend.

So far, so good! Good, stable yoga chair. The stability combined with the fact it doesn't have a back or lower front rung makes it a versatile chair for a lot of yoga modifications.

Perfect for yoga moves, stretches, twists, back bends, Iyengar yoga prop. I really like the look. I got it with the back bend tool that fits into the chair, which is fantastic.

Just what I was looking for and expected! Not too heavy, sturdy, doesn't slide or slip on the floor, and very portable. I feel safe and well supported!

I am thrilled with my yoga chair from Ananda, an anniversary present from my husband. I especially like that it doesn't have a front rung like others I've seen, which allows for my favorite version of plough pose. I've had a yoga practice for a long time but especially as I get older, I can imagine the augmentation of the chair will be more and more useful. It's proving especially helpful in balance poses. And the backbender attachment is bliss.Two wishes: It would have been ordered in silver/steel if the backbender was also offered (and in the same color). And a helpful accompanying booklet with poses (plus more on the website) would be welcome. The ones available on Amazon don't quite fill the bill.Thank you, Ananda

This chair is perfect for doing back bends for tall people or twists for the folks with long legs (me) I highly recommend it!
