This is a serious bone chopper!
If you need to chop bones, even the bigger ones, then this is the tool for you. It is heavy. I mean it is REALLY HEAVY. The cutting edge is ground at a steeper angle, which is good for a bone job. The handle lets you control the weight somewhat easier, but make no mistake: This is not a cleaver for meat or veggy cutting and slicing. Mine arrived in a box that was completely beaten up because it was obviously too flimsy to hold the heavy cleaver in its place. Luckily the cleaver was un-damaged and nobody got hurt. Had it been meant as a gift then I would have been in trouble.

Good quality for a good price.
I havn't had a chance to try it out on bones yet. But it's heavy and fits nicely in my hand. Cuts through meat easily!! Very nice cleaver and at a really good price👍

This cleaver very heavy duty!!
This cleaver is what I’ve been looking for and I actually bought two. One for me and one for my brother in law. I was looking for a heavy duty cleaver to chop through bone even through frozen bones and this one has done the job. I was also curious to see if I could through it and get it to stick without damaging it and I successfully through one my first try and it stuck. If you’re looking for something that will cut through meat and bones with ease then this is it!! You can dip the dull side of the cleaver to break bones and then flip it again to slice through the flesh. The frozen bone I chopped through was the neck bones of pork.

not for the rookies
This axe/meat cleaver is exactly as expected. Use it with caution since it is hefty. It will chop off fingers with easy since it easily chops through small bones and bone joints. I didn't try large bones; that is what a saw is for, but T-bone steaks, cleaning full rack of ribs, and neck bones are no problem. A longer handle would have made it easier to handle the weight of the blade, the balance would be better then. A thick wood cutting board is a must. Any other cutting board may split or break.

Chopper is very strong and durable
Have been using this chopper for more than a month in a commercial setting, cutting through thick pork belly ribs. etc. Thought I'd sharpen my chopper this weekend. Then I realised the chopper's edge was still perfect...not a ding, dent or chip on it. One down side, it did not come in a leather case like my old one, but in a box. Neverthless, this is a FANTASTIC piece of equipment.
