I have been wearing my Addiesdive Captain Willard wristwatch daily for a little over two months. It is unbelievably accurate which is due to the tested and true Seiko automatic movement. The lume is bright and long lasting. The synthetic sapphire crystal is durable and clear. Additionally, the anti-reflective coating on the crystal is extremely effective. The ceramic bezel insert is hard-wearing while also providing a rich, upmarket appearance. The case itself is solid and features a perfect combination of brushed and polished surfaces.My model came with the rubber strap. It was okay but the watch is better served with the aftermarket tropic style strap which I switched the original out for.The lume on the ceramic bezel is bluish while the lume on the dial is greenish. I like this feature as it provides a clear contrast between the dial and the bezel when in darkness as well as offering a nice complexity to its night time character. However, some may dislike the differing lume colors for being inconsistent.The one and only drawback, at least for me, was the case back. Though it is handsome with its depiction of the diver's mask and crossed spearguns comprising the Addiesdive logo, it is also rough and ever so slightly sharp. The result is a very minute discomfort thar takes a little getting used to. It also has a tendency to remove the hair from your wrist. Overall, this downside is quite minor when considering the high quality of the watch otherwise. Still, it would be nice for the manufacturer to address this detail.In conclusion, this is a fantastic time piece that competes easily with watches far above its modest price tag.

Outside of a watch telling time and telling me at a minimum the date, I don't know much about watches. I have had several over the years and even a Rolex because I thought it was cool to have a very expensive watch. Now in hindsight, an absolute waste of money, the Rolex that is. This unit has an excellent, perfectly aligned bezel that is also snug when rotating. Some have described it as being hard to turn and I disagree. It is not loose at all. Zero wobble. Zero play left or right. It feels smooth when rotating. The crystal is flat but raised a bit. The bezel insert is ceramic and simply looks immaculate. The crown, though I wish were a bit larger, it is HEAVILY guarded by beefy crown guards. The crown is perfectly centered. The underside has been described as being a bit abrasive and I have to agree but I DO NOT feel it affecting my wrist whatsoever. The case is, like the rest of the watch, simply beautiful. Polished on the sides, and where the strap connects, but the top left and right are brushed. Beautiful. It is so far in 5 hours slower by 2 seconds. The lume is stunning. Super bright. Does it last a long time? No. But to me it does not matter because of ALL the other incredible things about the watch. The strap starts out thick at the lugs, but thins out at the ends. It is comfortable, but maybe in time I will get something more substantial, and a strap that does not taper. Once seated on the wrist, the watch barely moves but be aware that it has weight. I personally cannot imagine using this watch with a metal bracelet. For me it would be too heavy. All things considered, for 100 bucks, I am astonished at the quality of this watch. Absolutely amazed at how so much more incredibly expensive it looks, feels, and functions.

All the reviews and hype is true this Capt Williard homage by addiesdive is amazing. Bezel action has a great sound and feel, with no to minimal back play. The color on the dial and ceramic bezel is phenomenal; rich, vibrant blue with a tasteful amount of flashiness on dial.I Have not witnessed this watch's lume personally but if it's like how addiesdive usually does their lume, than I am sure it is above average. Additionally this watch comes with a milled fold over buckle, bracelet which is pretty good for the price.All in all a great watch for the price that even gives Seiko a run for their money.

It looked bigger on the picture on Amazon. I like the design, the weight of it and it looks like an expensive watch. The watch band is not bad but I plan to replace it, it is not really that uncomfortable but will replace it with a silicone band. It does have a rugged, classic, elegant look and feel to it. I read all the other comments prior to purchasing it and I hope it will do as well. I had no problem with the seller or delivery of the watch and like the plastic box in came in. Overall, I do recommend this watch so far but just be aware that it looks much bigger on paper than in person but I love the way it looks and feels on my wrist.

comfortable and practical for the price

I bought this for a friend for his birthday. I have the seiko model this is designed after and there is very little difference between the two. Especially if you consider how much more expensive the seiko model is.I bought it for my friend in earlier November and as of early January he has still not worn any of his other watches. The bracelet is a good quality and easy to adjust. The lume is really cool and for being a bigger watch it is extremely comfortable and wears much smaller than it is. I will probably end up purchasing another one for myself.

This watch should cost 5 times as much.I’ma scuba instructor and use this watch to tone my dives along with a computer.The bezel is solid and aligned correctly. The lume lays for 10 hours and is so bright I have to put it in a drawer at night. The movement is quiet and smooth. The power reserve is correct and true. The dial is beautiful, really beautifully created with raised indices and 3D effects. The strap is incredibly confortable and true to period. The finish is flawless and clean. There is good weight to this watch as a dive watch should have.This is really an amazingly beatiful and solidly useful watch.

Love the watch. Face faded to purple after about a year.
