How long is the rasp portion (less handle) of this tool?

It’s 11 inches of rasp, with really 10 usable inches as it tapers at both ends. I think you’ll find this more effective than most. There’s a fine and aggressive side to the rasp. It’s one of the best wood working tools I’ve purchased.

Is this the version with the wooden handle or the plastic handle? The photos show the wooden handle, but some buyers have received the plastic handle.

All Shinto Saw Rasp series come with rubber/plastic type handles. Wooden handle version has already been discontinued. The pictures on Amazon.com catalog need update.
