This car beats out any toy store car, hands down. Compared to all inexpensive choices on Amazon, it's in the top ~5. It's fast, but for a younger person, not too fast. Parts are available and replaceable, unlike toys which once broken, are broken forever. Many (but not all) parts are very high quality.But before you buy, I would do your research, on a certain video website you know of, by looking for "RC Cars" and a person named Tomley...The main reasons I hesitate to recommend this car is:The LiPo (lithium polymer) batteries are shrink sealed. Not as important if there's adult supervision, but they do pose a fire risk when punctured, and kids do get into mischief, sometimes even with adults present.Its ground clearance is lower than similar cars. This is good for pavement and cut grass, but on the (not recently) cut, and crabby/stiffer grass at the park, it was getting stuck. In the cut grass, it was going slow. The tires look cool, but I think ones with large knobs would handle grass/off-roading better. I have a 1/16 scale that performs much better. Competitors are starting to include oil filled shocks, which make a huge difference, but they also can leak oil and need to be refilled.Overall, I would still recommend this if the things I mentioned don't apply to you.

Wow. I'm pleasantly surprised with how good this product is. When I was doing research this one caught my eye. Though it was not $30 or $40, I feel that it offers a lot for what you get. I highly recommend this RC car if you are starting to get into the hobby like me. If you want an RC car for your 5 year old kid, ( though there is a slow speed mode ) I would recommend a different one. Its really fast ( like 25 mph fast ) and durable for the price. I've gotten at least 5 comments. "Wow! did you see that?" or "That's the fastest RC car I've ever seen!" The shocks are pretty good. If you want better, or broke the motor, or need another battery because of how much fun it is, you can buy that from the company. I love that the company gave a 90 day warranty. The lights are cool. I've used it around 20 times. Its super durable. Highly recommend. When you get it dirty use a old toothbrush. It does the job and gets into the tight spaces. Also one last thing, the body clips are super easy to loose. I recommend using small bent paper clips. They fit fine, and they are harder to loose. Great buy. Wait for it to go on sale because I got it for like 55, but still 69 is still reasonable. I had a problem with the shocks, so I contacted the seller through amazon and they were very helpful. Great customer service. I had a problem with the rear axle and shock, and the company went above and beyond to gave me metal axles, and oil filled shocks. I highly recommend this product. THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST RC CAR ON AMAZON UNDER $75***UPDATE***I’ve used this car for about at least 75 runs. I’ve had 3 problems with it, but the company was very helpful. I now have metal rear and front axles with oil filled shocks. Seems to work fine. I am having a problem with the servo, it seems to be jammed, and I still don’t know what happened. But this is expected knowing the amount of runs I’ve had with it. Will update when the company gets back to me. Honestly I’m surprised it got this far. TIP stuff will break when you own any rc car. However most companies are not as generous when it comes to customer service. This company is.***UPDATE***HAIBOXING got back to me and offered to send a second rc car. WOW! Thats so nice nice of them to do that!

Overall this thing isn't bad for the money. The shocks are an issue though, mine lasted one run before they began to bind and even bent one shaft on a very mild impact. I got the upgrade shocks and it's been fine since. It's not very fast as it's brushed but it does have metal drive train. I think a brushless system could drop in no problem. The batteries are decent and have good run time, they were in storage charge and balanced when I unboxed it. Overall, a fun little truck to play around with.

This is definately an rc car worth the price! As always Haiboxing does an awesome job packing the box with a bunch of extras and in a nice presentation. It's so much fun to play with and is really fast and well built for the price. Everyone was right about the durability, no problems at all. I wouldn't recommend running this off a cliff, but you know. Battery life is acceptable and takes a bit to charge - but most of them do. All in all, if you are in the market for a beginner or just a low cost, quality rc car, then you found it in this one!

I bought this car for my 7yr old and it is almost too fast. Luckily, it has a slow and fast selector switch which is perfect for learning how to drive it before going super fast. The car looks great! Like my Mini ERevo but slightly smaller. The body is super well finished and it comes with everything needed to run save for two AA batteries. I was a little skeptical having a brushed motor and tiny LiPo pack but I shouldn’t have worried. The car is fast! It even pulls wheelies on carpet. The charge time of 1.5hrs is a bit long but I can charge it using my standard quick charger making it much more fun. No more having to wait forever for it to charge. It even came with two tiny LEDs for headlights which are super bright. I would suggest the Hailstorm to beginners and experienced drivers alike, and kids/adults of all ages will have a blast with it. I haven’t broken anything yet but the back of the instruction manual has part numbers for any and all parts should I need anything. A+ considering the price!

We are waiting for our return label from Amazon and going to go with something better quality. My kids received this for Christmas a few days ago, and was only taken to our park 3 times before the steering components on the car stopped working.

I got this on a whim because some coworkers had ones and i wanted to join in... better than theirs which were twice the price! Has metal driveshafts and adjustable struts. Good tires and FAST.
