Bellroy Market Tote – (Tote Shoulder Shopping Bag) - Black

I was looking for a lightweight tote, unisex in design for a guy and with a minimal footprint for packing in luggage. I've currently been a using a Trader Joe's heavy duty cotton tote for week-long retreats, to carry essentials from my room to the meeting space.I haven't yet used this tote, but it looks like it will fit all my needs. The dimensions are very close to my current TJ's tote, it's very compact & packable, the straps are long enough to drape over 1-shoulder and I love the two open-ended sleeves on the interior. One will hold my water bottle and the other my coffee mug and keep them upright. I wasn't sure if I liked the stiffness of the polyester, but it actually adds to the function of the tote so it will stand upright more easily when set down. The polyester material feels rugged and durable, the seams well-sewn and the tote is reasonably priced.

Honestly the best part are the fun colors. But, I have also been using these bags for a couple months now. And the build quality is quite nice also. I have bought other Bellroy items and just perceive them as high quality. I first learned about Bellroy when looking more into smaller compact wallets but still enough to have 6-8 cards. Happy I gave them bag a chance also given my past experience with the brand. The pictures given show this but it has nice slots to hold a wine bottle and keep stuff organized. I have often used it for shopping but have also used the bag to hold stuff if i go swimming. Plenty of utility.

The bag construction is great but the material feels a little thin. Wish there was a clasp or a magnet to close it. The stitching around the handles are a little questionable (check picture). I do love the color choices.

I use this as my work bag. It’s made well and I can tell I’ll have this thing for a long time with how durable the material feels.

I have had this bag for months and really liked it. Now I really love it. Somehow a bottle of red wine literally exploded in the bag (no idea how) and not only did prove to be completely waterproof, it is also stain proof. I didn't even realize the bottle had exploded until I reached my hand down in the bag to pull something out and my hand became wrist deep in wine. Not a drop had spilled out. I ran to the bathroom to rinse it out and you can't even tell what had happened. Seriously- go buy this bag now.

This is not a nice well made tote, this is a reusable grocery bag. There is no structure to it at all, doesn’t stay standing with things in it. And when you decide it isn’t right for you, they’ll charge you $5 to ship it back.
