Better capacity than regular store bought!
The media could not be loaded. 4 starts because I havn’t used them yet as my boat hasn’t sprung any engine leaks. However they are a great size for my 1986 37’ convertible Cruiser. My engines hold 6 gallons of oil each, so those little booms from local stores are no where near capacity rated as these are! They fit well in bilge no rubbing and hold 3 gallons each if my engines should ever pop a leak! They don’t absorb water which is a serious plus. All in all I’d recommend for sport fish peeps that need larger capacity’s while keeping the diameter down. I would not if you don’t have much room under engines. These are about the size of two regular booms (small store bought) in diameter. Hope that helps.Update: I used them as we had a riser failed. While no oil per say we did get lots of soot when we pulled the CO2 system as we could not tell if the issue involved fire. What they did was absorb tons of sooty waste when we decreased the entire engine room. They work all! Running dual CAT 3116 Diesels. I have repurchased and they arrive this Friday 1/18/2019! So they absorbed lots of cleaning chemicals combined with diesel soot and some fluids as we had work done aftermath of riser failure.Oh and I saw one post refusrding then it absorbing oil and I can tell you ours did on starboard side as I dropped the oil filter spilling it in bilge. The boom absorbed all oil!Hope that helps. ThanksKnotty Hattitude

Giant tampon
Didn't realize how big it actually is. Lol, I will never need to replace it in my bilge. Make sure not to big for your boat.

Great Product
Really works well. Placed in the bilge, soaks up anything spilled & without absorbing any water. It's awesome.

Use in the pool
I have this attached to my skimmer basket. It floats on top of the water and absorbs all the sunscreen and body oil from the swimmers.
