Have recently purchased this, the SanDisk SSD PLUS 2 TB *AND* the SSD PLUS 1 TB drives.Both are being used for file storage only inside my PC. It's early days yet but both drives work fast when compared to the HDDs they replaced. I've read they're not the fastest drives around but I wanted them for space and to see no more HDDs being used. Neither holds the OS, which I've read could be a good thing.So, fast enough for me. Other, faster SSD drives I use for the OS and simple gaming.

The 480GB drive seems to perform very well. Pleased with the price performance. The Dashboard software is worth installing, it provides status and statistics on the drive and the ability to turn on Windows TRIM. Odd that windows TRIM is not enabled by default. Be sure to switch that on to preserve the drives lifespan!!The migration software that comes with the Sandisk migration kit (cable plus S/W download) failed to recognise the drive attached to the USB/SATA cable. The Sandisk Dashboard software*was* able to recognize the drive and report on its satus while the migration software baulked. Fortunately I own a license of Acronis True Image Pro 2016 and used that instead.I purchased two of these drives for two laptops and the install went very well, both laptops are now very quick rather than sluggish.I purchased drives that were much larger than the used GB on the old drives, yielding 75% free space. Lots of spare space is clearly good for future growth but also provides a much longer lifespan. If you buy a drive just big enough it will soon degrade and even fail sooner rather than later.

480GB Version (£65.02)Product bought 16 JanWriting date 3 JulyI had a hard drive in my PC for a long time and decided it was time to upgrade. Searching for an SSD brought me to this one which has a good capacity for the price.Once I installed it, I fresh installed windows onto my SSD but that was because I wanted a fresh start for my PC. I'm honestly not sure if there is an easier way to transfer from the hard drive to the SSD (there probably is) but that is the method I chose. Installation is easy but make sure to choose the right drive (i.e. if you have a 1tb hard drive and a 480gb ssd, choose the drive which has the 480gb capacity).Using the SSD on a day to day basis has been an enjoyable experience especially after having a hard disk drive. It may not be the fastest SSD, but it does the job. Loading time for windows and for games have significantly lowered (make sure to actually install the game onto the SSD and not just steam for example otherwise the loading times will stay the same).All in all, it has been one of my best purchases. While on vacation my SSD was fried during an overnight thunderstorm. Original drive was 256GB. This 512GB drive, although longer than the original, fit perfectly into the Lenovo S340 and works fine so far...

Item didn’t work for me, item was returned, it’s been almost 15 days since return, no refund or communication so far. Do yourself a favor, Buy from different seller.

I bought this to add storage space to my Nvidia Shield. It was super easy to install and works just fine. I have had zero issues with it. The transfer speeds are as expected. I would definitely recommend this drive for someone looking to add storage space. I don't use it in a gaming application so I cannot attest to its performance when really being stressed.
