It's compact and useful
I like this unit because it's compact so I can store it, it's useful and I don't have to worry about batteries or plugs. The only down side (and it's minor) is that the slots are marked for coins that are in good shape and we all know that pennies are notoriously in bad shape. How many pennies from heaven have you found to be shiny and new? So if the coins have been flattened in any way, they will likely not meet the marked number but I'm OCD anyway so I'm going to count and ensure that I didn't put any Canadian coins in before I wrap them so all's good. I do like that once you have the coins in the slot, you can slide the wrappers over them rather than remove the coins and put them manually in the wrappers. Also, much less expensive and it comes with really nice wrappers to get you started (quite a few for each denomination).

OK. Pennies inaccurate, wrappers too small in diameter.
Like many other reviews say, it's not super accurate for pennies. I don't care enough to count every roll. Another negative is that the wrappers that come with the device are an incredibly tight fit..some to the point of being unusable. I could not slide any on easily and resorted to filling them by hand. Thankfully I had ordered an additional set of wrappers from a different company simultaneously that easily slide around the sorted coins. This sorter is easy to use while watching TV, and a lot more affordable than an electric sorter. With the correct wrappers it works well.

Worth the purchase
I wanted something to put in my car console instead of just throwing loose coins in it. Works out well because it organizes the coins, and it doesn't take up a lot of space. Also, I can easily put the container in my purse when I go into a store. No more hunting around for exact change!

Numbers hard to read.
These count fine, but the digits on the slots for counting coins is not easy to read.

but that's easily fixed. I manually counted 3 tallies on each ...
Handy product. Saves a lot of time sorting, counting, and saving money on private counting-machine charges. Many mention that the accuracy of the marks are off, but that's easily fixed.I manually counted 3 tallies on each coin tray, made a scribe mark for each count, and then Sharpie'd the scribes. Also convenient that you can easily slide the bank sleeves over each bundle. Now I don't have coin trays in every room of the house.

Total piece of garbage
Poorly packaged and plastic piece of junk. Only after it arrived did I realize it was a used item, and it definitely looked it!Do yourself a a favor and spend a few extra dollars and get a quality coin organizer. This one is made of cheap plastic and the markings to see how many coins in each slot are impossible to read.No care was taken by the seller to package this, as it was just crammed into the box with the coin wrappers jammed in so they are all wrinkled. Would it have killed them to take a minute and place the organizer and the wrappers neatly in the box??The Amazon packaging was just an envelope like when you order a piece of clothing. Luckily it was not crushed in transit.Terrible experience and cheap product. Do Not Buy!!

Exactly what I needed.
What a great way to store (and count) your spare change.I fail to understand all these complaints about have to count the coins as you are loading them into the paper sleeves. Who would roll coins without actually counting them one last time to make sure you have the correct number?Amazing what people will find to complain about.Simple, cheap, and takes up very little storage space.I bought two for my grandsons to help them learn the value of saving coins.

It's a coin organizer. It organizes coins.
When cleaning out our parents' home, we found a ton of banks with so much change to count. None of our local banks offer counting services and we didn't want to pay 11% to CoinStar, so we bought this basic, inexpensive manual coin organizer.First, note that it is an "organizer" not a "sorter." It will not in any way "sort" the coins for you - you have to do that manually. But it will "organize" the sorted coins into respective columns. (If it sorted, I would expect a mechanism where you would slide the coin in and it would be "sorted" into the correct column - this does not do that.)There are lines in each column to denote the number of coins, but as many other reviewer noted, these aren't entirely accurate and they were really hard to see - especially in the dimes column. Even adjusting for a manual count, I found that for some reason, there was no ideal "standard" for the coins I was counting. I ended up just manually counting and adding to the sorter as I went and not using the dashes at all. This biggest "pro" to this is that it did make it super easy to slide the coins into the wrappers, so that was a big bonus. I also like that you can close it with the columns full of coins - in case you need to stop mid-count or finish with a few leftover coins. That was handy. For the price, the function was worth it.
