These galvanized silver hangers are made in USA.

Q: Can these be "disassembled" and stretched out for cooking s'mores? Weird question. Some hangers are welded together and others can be twisted apart...

Don't use them for s'mores or any other fire-cooked food. Galvanized hangers would almost certainly use zinc in the process since galvanized steel is dipped in zinc. Heating galvanized metal can cause a very serious condition called metal fume fever. It has killed more than one blacksmith. I certainly wouldn't use it around fire or food in any fashion.

Q: How do you get 16" hangers to measure 13.2" x 13.2" x 4.5"? Are they bent when they are shipped?

Inside of the box is 13x13 inch which gives diagonal length of 18.38 inch to fit 16 inch hanger.

Q: What is the dimension of these hangers from the top of the "hook" straight down to the cross bar? 8" or 9"

Not sure what you mean by cross bar. I can tell you that from top to hook to the bottom is about 8 1/4. Hook alone to the "top" of hanger is about 4 1/2 inch. Hope that helps
