Qiilu 5 Speed Car Gear Shift Knob Boot Gearstick Gaiter Kit Manual/Auto Gear Shifter Boot Cover Replacement for 6 MK5 MK6 2005-2014

So I have a 2008 JETTA 2.5. Manual obviously. The boot was getting pretty worn and dingy so I decided to get a new one and to get it off on these Jetta's you have to take off the shift knob. I decided to go aftermarket, I am 31 years old I didn't want some flashy 8 ball or neon blinking light. Just something practical. Anyways ordered a universal boot and knob and it was a nightmare. I spent over an hour trying to cut the skirt on the boot to the exact length then using clue and staples as instructed and it just would not fit perfectly and snap into place. Ended up throwing that one in the trash and ordered this part. Should have done it in the beginning. It comes assembled and all you have to do is slide the knob over, crip it and snap the boot down. Took 3 minutes and looks great. Can adjust the knob down further than stock as well to give it a shorter throw when shifting. WOULD GIVE 10 STARS IF I COULD.

Sold By: Qiilu Wasn't available with prime when I ordered. Took a month to come from China. I got sick of waiting and decided to look and found it was available with next day from the same seller. I ordered it then that day the one from China showed up, so cancelled my order. So aside from the SUPER SLOW shipping the product is awesome. Fits perfectly.. kinda of a pain in the a** to get the old one off, but dang this thing is nice and clean looking.

Easy install and really finished off the clean interior. Only negative I can say is that the pinch ring broke while crimping. Can’t complain too much as you get what you pay for. I just reused the one off the oem shifter, which is much higher quality

I bought one of these last year and the quality was excellent, fit perfectly, snapped in place with no issues, and the boot was a nice quality pleather. I recently bought another and I dont know if the quality dropped or they're getting these things from a different manufacturer, but this new one is terrible, doesnt snap into place, and the boot is cheap and flimsy. At least the shift knob is nice, but im still going to return it.

Great budget friendly replacement. Install was simple and it fit as it should. I was pleasantly surprised, it doesn't feel as cheap as I expected and I think it will last a while.

Works like a shift knob should, just with some defects from poor manufacturing. The knob itself has sharp edges along the circumference of the glued on badge (which I re-attached with JB Weld).

It's not exactly VW quality but it's real close. For the price and the fact it fit well it gets 5 stars.
