Its expensive but worth it. I have purchased and returned 7 other razor covers from other companies, that claimed to be leather and were either vinyl, "protein leather", or straight up plastic. The product comes quite dry especially for leather that will be exposed to water. I gave it a little mink oil. Bear oil is great too. That got it looking beautiful and really supple. Overall good quality. Decent snaps. Fits even the really large handled razors that are popular today. I would buy one for all of my razors but they are expensive. Would make a great gift but be sure to send them a tub of mink oil w it. Would be nice if the seller treated the leather before shipping but as it stands this is pretty much your only option for real leather.

I've been wrapping my safetey razor in tissue paper to protect the interior of my shave bag from the razors bite. This product is so simple, yet, useful and nice. I like it a lot. Now my shave bag doesn't look like a hamsters den.

It’s great fits tight but it is leather so it will stretch to the perfect size just needed it so my racer has a little protection while I have it on its bag looks well made

I initially got this for my Rex Konsul Slant Razor (bought 1 just for testing purposes). I didn't notice until later after my purchase that the covering was designed specifically for butterfly type razors. Albeit, the cover did fit my Konsul but not without some finesse. Had there been a blade inside it, it would've probably been a bit risky getting it on. That said, the neck of my Konsul was also a bit big for the slot in the cover. Even though it fits (again with some finesse), there's a good chance that the leather would start to wear and crack due to the pressure the Konsul was putting on it... but that's just a guestimate. So instead I decided to assign it to my old reliable little buddy; my 1st razor that I started my shaving journey with, the Van Der Hagen. Needless to say, the cover fit perfectly on it. The Van Der Hagen is after all a butterfly razor so no surprises (shut up Radiohead. Not that kind of "No Surprises" lol). But all in all, the cover itself is of good quality and should last a long time especially if properly cared for. Highly recommended for those who travel or just want to store a razor in a 'respectful' way rather than keeping it exposed.
