I have known about and seen these Ghana baskets for decades but never bought one. This is my first one and I am not disappointed.It came flattened via usps. Once I submerged it in water I could immediately shape it. It was easy to shape.The one sent to me is a very colorful one even though I wished for a muted one because I wear Edwardian and late Victorian inspired outfits. The garish colors clash with my mostly muted color palette.Size is perfect for me because I don’t bring a lot in my daily carry (wallet, phone, handkerchief, and maybe a pair of sunglasses). If I do bring more, I’d rather use my canvas tote to save the weight. I like small size because it fits comfortably in the crook of my arm. I wrap the handle with a Twilly to protect the leather.Size is 6” dia bottom, 8” dia opening brim, and 6” basket height.

Item as described. It does take a little bit of time to reshape and get the hang of that. But it’s super easy and I love these baskets. They double as toy storage and Easter baskets for us!

I love this little basket. It’s the perfect size to sit beside my bed on the floor. I filled it with all of my nightly moisturizers, floss, etc.My nightstand was getting too cluttered. This is perfect. I lucked out and got good colors too. No pink! 😂

I know you don't have a choice, but the basket pictured is multi-colored and beautiful! Mine is one boring dk purple color . ugly- Good quality, but would not buy again due to the color. I was going to buy multiple baskets.....I'll pass

too small for what I intended.

I love the look of a handmade basket, and I really like how these are made. The shape makes it perfect for so many uses--mine is currently on my nightstand holding a pencil, reading glasses, a small paperback, and part of a candy bar, and there is still plenty of room. It helps the nightstand look more organized. The basket I received has solid bands of bright shades of eggplant purple, dandelion yellow, a deep red, teal blue, and leaf green with a red leather wrap on a handle made of dark blue and natural grass. I'm amazed at how it arrived--squished flat and wrapped in plastic--and how easily I was able to turn it into a plump, round basket by wetting it with cool water and shaping it per the included instructions. I also love that this was handmade by African women who are helping their families by creating something so beautiful. I will definitely look for these baskets when I need something else like this.

Years ago, I had purchased one of these large grocery type baskets. Recently, I’ve been looking for something smaller as I don’t need the great big basket anymore. This arrived and had been flattened to be put into the box but the instructions that came with it said to just soak it for a few minutes in a sink full of water. I did that and within a few minutes, I could shape it and get it back to the round shape. I’m very happy with it, and I love these kinds of products.
