I have always hated wearing shoes, but as I've gotten older I find that the soles of my feet are more sensitive to sharp objects, and the heels of my feet hurt after standing on hard surfaces for too long. I'm retired and at home all day, so I wear flip flops most of the day. While cheap, these have features you normally only see in sandals that cost 4 times the price of these. The sole is made of two layers of foam that are sealed together. The bottom layer of foam is stiffer and more dense so that it will last longer and provide more protection from sharp rocks and other objects. The layer against the sole of your foot is a softer foam that feels really nice and molds to the shape of your feet.Similarly the strip that fits between your toes is made from two layers of cloth, so that it is soft and comfortable, but will still last and not break quickly nor easily. I wear a size 12 shoe and the size 12 in these flip flops fits perfectly. WIth cheap flip flops I often find that either my toes or heals will hang over the edge, while there is excess at the other end. The straps fit along the top and side of your feet snug enough that they stay on your feet easily, but not too snug as to rub and be annoying. I wear flip flops inside the house year round and outside 10 months of the year, so I wear them out fairly quickly. I liked this pair so much (and they are cheap), I'm ordering 2 more pairs to keep until later when this pair eventually needs replacing.

I cannot understand anyone giving these less than five stars.For Pete’s sake it’s a $11 pair of flip flops.They look great, they feel great and are much more comfortable than other ‘name brands’ that I spent 4x theamount on.Perfect for around the house, in the back yard, good for hotels snd resorts when you just need something toput on your feet to satisfy the requirements of having to wear shoes.Footbed is soft and springy, the straps are soft and supple and do not cut into my feet, very comfortable.I paid $40 for a name brand pair that rhymes with Blechers and they were uncomfortable and one of the strapspulled out of the footbed rather quickly.If they last the summer I’ll be thrilled, if there are any issues I will update my review but for now I saybuy them without hesitation.The company Alpine Swiss is also involved with altruistic endeavors as well and I like that added bonus.Buy ‘em!

I didn't buy these for long walks on rocky terrain. I'm sure they will last, as I use them for when I get out of the shower, and just around the house or backyard. I laugh at the negative reviews here. I don't know what these people expect, out of a $15 pair of sponge rubber sandals/flip-flops? They fit as expected (sizing), they look good, and they are functional. Would I buy them again? Sure I would. My last pair sandals, of this type (different brand), lasted 5 years, and were of worse quality. It all depends on how you use them. 10/7/22, after 2 weeks, I 'm adding to my review. These are definitely not outdoor walking sandals. The soles are very soft, and any small stone will be embedded in them. They are comfortable for me, but I would not wear these to walk around the block. I removed one star for this. I hope you find this review helpful.

If I’m being honest, I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting much from these Flip Flops. The price seemed very low considering the size and color options. I was prepared to receive my order and maybe get a month or so use from them before needing to toss them out. I was pleased to be so very wrong in my assumptions. These Flip Flops are well made. The fit is slightly larger than shoes I normally order in the same size. The larger fit is a good thing though, absolutely perfect for providing extra comfort and length without being “too large”. The soles are made with a very comfortable/conforming material, reminiscent of a memory foam or gel type mattress. The straps are even top rate quality and attached in a sturdy way that guarantees they won’t fall apart or pull through the sole. These flip flops do not irritate your toes with straps that rub wrong or are painful on the sides of my feet. These Flip Flops come close to being luxury perfection, at a discount store price. I’m ordering several additional pair for stocking stuffers (and a few more for myself in assorted colors).

Very comfy foam sandal that feels more like a slipper. In a short time the footbed compresses and retains your foot imprint which helps with arch support.This mountain logo model has cloth thong straps which I found very comfortable also. Note-the Edge models have rubber straps. From the product photos the Edge also appear to have a lower profile strap. I’ve found rubber straps to be less comfortable.The sole is not durable at all, and as others have noted I’ve gotten stones embedded in the sole while walking on pavement. Also as can be seen in my photo, chunks of the sole have fallen out but the sandals are still wearable. Because of the lack of durability, I now only wear the Alpine Swiss around my Phoenix, AZ house, yard, and pool. Elsewhere I wear my much more durable, and expensive, Reef Fanning sandals.For the low price and comfort, I just ordered another pair that will not leave my property. I’ve had my first pair for 7 months and wear them daily.
