Does everything a gig switch should and no issues with install into rack or functions of the switch.

I was having a lot of speed issues on my network and after replacing cables and a NIC it still wasn’t solved. It turned out to be my Netgear switch was causing the issue. This switch gives me full speed on LAN and WAN!

Easy 5 minute plug & play swap-out of the old 8 port Gigabit switch with this new 16 port Gigabit switch. Appears to be performing well. No complaints a week later. Now we have a few extra RJ-45 ports for future expansion.Speed test:In regard to the speed test I posted, this unit does not slow down the network. My issue is actually with the Internet service provider not providing the full 500 mbps...ughhh.Size:I was expecting this 16 port unit to be double the size of the 8 port unit but it turned out to be triple the size. We made it work in this cramped setting.The replacement of this Gigabit switch is part of an ongoing effort to improve our network speed and reliability/consistency.

It performs as described with 1G speeds. Use cat 6 wires. No need to configure this switch. Plug and Play.

Comes with rack ears, or you can desk mount with rubber pads provided.

I wasn't expecting anything other than it just to work. It does. Nuff said.

It's fanless (silent), small, has a decent number of ports, and works. The link time seems a bit longer than the Linksys switch I was using before (ran out of ports), but once linked it has enough bandwidth for my use.
