We are not beach sitters. We are beach walkers. While walking the beach we kept seeing these beach shades and decided to check them out.After purchasing the Shibumi Beach Shade we are now beach sitters! This product is a-maz-ing! Lightweight, easy to set up and take down, easy to store. We purchased the Mini size. The mini can probably shade 3 people in chairs comfortably without being on top of each other. As long as there is a breeze the top keeps you shaded. They do make a flapping sound but I didn't find it offensive or distracting considering you hear the breeze, the ocean, and the flapping. These seem a little pricy for what it is (fabric, pole, and bag) but I think they are worth every penny to be able to sit on the beach in your own shaded area and be protected from the sun's rays. A simple, yet great innovative product.

I've done my homework and looked and scouted all the options out there. This one is well worth the investment.Lightweight and smallest compact size for the biggest shade area. Easy to assemble if solo and with 2 people. It's durable and the design is conducive for a windy day. Only 3 points of contact. Pole can go directly into sand (when beach rules allow) OR poles can go in a bucket of sand if beach rules prohibit for eco safety of the environment. I purchased this in the large size and returned since I needed only for myself and got the small one and used multiple times this summer. But now, because I absolutely love the durability and craftsmanship of this superior product, I might get the large one again, as I am traveling to the Caribbean in January with family and friends and I know how Lightweight it is, it will fit perfectly in my under 50 lbs suitcase.When I saw someone with this in the Caribbean, I had to ask them what and where they purchased. So glad I asked the. I really don't like to bother strangers but in this case, I'm glad I politely asked them the details, because I'm so happy with my purchase!!!

I rarely buy into the new "fad", expensive name brand, hyped up item. However, me and my equally pale husband went to Miami Beach in JULY! We were sure to be miserable but any day at the beach is a great day! We have tried all the failed sun shades over the years as we both burn very easily and hate being miserably hot. But I went ahead and bought this expensive shade and hoped for the best. It was fantastic! So easy to use, worked perfectly with a light breeze and we were very comfortable in the high 80s temp. We were able to hang out for hours without feeling like we would burst into flames! While these are very popular is NC/SC, they have not made their way to FL as much. We had LOCAL MIAMI FOLKS stop and ask us all about it! Now I know why they include business cards in the purchase! (They should give a kick back for advertising for them!) And when it was time to leave, super easy to pack up. No need to leave out to dry or shake off etc, all the problems from umbrellas in the past. We spent several fantastic days on the beach and did NOT burn or burst into flames from the heat! We still used sunscreen, of course, but we were so very comfortable! I bet the temp was several degrees cooler under our awesome shade! And I love the story of it's birth, college students from our home state of NC. Honestly, that was part of the reason I was willing to pay so much for it! I am sure they have made plenty of money by now! It IS a bit over priced considering the simple materials used. No way it comes anywhere near the cost to make. But hey, great idea equals great reward! I tell everyone this is the only shade they ever need to buy! No more chasing umbrellas or 4 point tents down the beach or watching for the terrifying possibility of being impaled by a flying umbrella spike! So yes, it is pricey but worth it!!

We love this thing for the beach and is better than just about any other alternative. it is very simple to set up and take down and can be done by one person in 5 minutes or less. We purchased the mini and it provides plenty of shade for up to 3 beach chairs. if you are looking to shade more than 3, you should look at the full size option. It looks very good flapping in the breeze (love the colors) Quality seems to be very good and should be quite durable (going on season 3 this year with no issues) And, I have noticed that more and more of these seem to be taking over the beach. Umbrellas are out.We love this thing and are very happy with our purchase

Light and easy to install. But NOT FOR WINDY DAYS. It’s a worse scenario than no wind…

The best investment for the beach. Easy to assemble and disassemble. No tool needed. Does not blow away. Fits back into bag by just rolling it up. There was so much more shade than I was expecting.

We have the smaller size and it works great! It fits easily into my beach bag, so one less item to carry!! Super light weight and very easy to set up (5 minutes or less). It’s expensive compared to umbrellas but the size and ease of set up are worth the price to me. It provides enough shade for two of us plus our big dog & cooler. Only downsides are it makes a little noise and you need wind to keep it up. Overall very satisfied with the purchase!
