Gallium does not melt aluminum, but it does corrodes aluminum, turning it into a powder.

Q: About how many cubes does it make?

The mold is 2.25 Cubic Centimeters (cc), Gallium has a density of 5.907 g/cc. So each cube holds about 13.25 grams. You could get 4 cubes from 50 grams if you used only 12.5 grams each.

Q: Once it is melted, is it easy to harden back up and reuse?

Once we melted it, we couldn't get it to harden back up. Now I have two vile of liquid metal.
