Well-made shielded wire. I used it to rewire a well abused Gibson Les Paul. This wire looks just like the original wire.

I have never seen a 50's guitar personally, so I cannot comment on authenticity. However, what I received appeared high quality, and the final result sounded great and quiet from any errant noise. The only dislike is that it wasn't that easy to push back the metal braid exterior or the cloth cover interior. The only comparison I had was the pickup wires on some Gibson Custombuckers. Those pushed back a lot easier, but admittedly, Gibson had slightly pre-stripped those. One tip - don't use angled pliers cutters to snip to length, use a real wire cutter/stripper with a very sharp cutting surface. The latter crushes, making it even harder to push back, while the latter leaves a clean cut.

I rewired my Chibson Lefty ES-175 with this and the proper pots, jack and switch. Also replaced the junk PUs with Seth Lovers using this. Excellent value and highly recommended! Cheers.

It is a solid pushback wire. Although I would strongly suggest watching YouTube videos before buying. It can be difficult to work with if you aren’t already familiar with it. Aside from that, it serves it purpose very well
