Incredible results and so easy to use!
GAME CHANGER!! I am so so happy with this product and excited to stop paying $90-115 at the salon for Demi-permanent color and gloss. I was already a fan of how Demi-color tints gray hair at my hairline, but I have never colored my hair at home before. It was so easy! I got a plastic cup and squirted an amount the size of a cherry; then I added double of the developer ($9). I used a medium size make up brush to stir it just because I had one on hand he used it to paint my grays on my hairline (I was being careful to not touch my skin, but it didn’t seem harsh and didn’t smell so I don’t know if I needed to be so careful). Then I took the rest of it and applied through more of my hair. 20 minutes later I should’ve paid it out and it looks even better than the salon. My hair was thicker, shinier, softer and grays were all covered or tinted. None of those crazy permanent color fumes, stains, or pages of instructions. If you haven’t used this kind of product before you should take time to figure out your shade; I was surprised my color had the word blonde because I’m definitely a brunette and used 7WG. It’s the color of caramel or a dark honey. In the picture all of my hairline is gray hair underneath, and it blends beautifully and looks like a highlight. I had been told the N colors were best at covering gray, but this did just fine. Even if this color only lasts a month I don’t care bc it was so easy and so much cheaper. I put the tube cap on tight and plan to use it 6 months.

The Wella ColorCharm Demi-Permanent Hair Color in shade 5RR Medium Red delivers rich, vibrant red tones with a natural-looking finish. It’s ideal for refreshing faded color or adding warmth without the commitment of permanent dye. The formula is gentle, ammonia-free, and leaves hair feeling soft and shiny after application. It provides excellent gray blending and lasts for several weeks while gradually fading true to tone. The consistency makes it easy to apply evenly, whether used alone or mixed for custom shades. Overall, this product offers salon-quality results at home for anyone seeking a bold yet manageable red hue. highly recommended

12.18.23~ After bleaching my shoulder length hair with 2 Boxes of Garnier, the 7 level Bleach not 3, my grey and med brown roots, lifted white as snow. Followed all directions but even tho I applied roots last, should have waited til ends lifted. After years of coloring but not bleaching other than highlighting, I freaked out a bit bout leaving it more than 45 minutes. My hair was medium (level 8) blonde but had a "wash out "pink that well...didn't. So there was a bit more end lift involved bc of the ever dreaded red added aka pink base. The new growth uncolored root hair needed maybe 15 minutes. Left it just over 20. For the most was happy with the lift and results of the bleach. Would recc Garnier. If the roots didn't go white, would have continued with my highlight plan to even out. After couple weeks & lots of deep conditioning. Would highlight & use a gloss. But the roots were white and was not going to add more permanent color. Also wasn't walking around with white roots. What am I Mrs Claus? Well sometimes.. I do bake cookies but didn't start coloring grey at 20 to go white. ** Hello youtube my old friend. Hairstylist (Elle Bangs) was using Wella Color Charm demi ( which means it washes out gradually). She did a cocktail and mixed 2 colors to get the tone she wanted. I know how to color mix but didn't know demi would give same effect as perm. Maybe all brands don't but Wella did. Ordered 10NA ( the color I wanted my hair) & 9CB for roots. I have Light/Med Cool tone skin. My natural blonde friend is going white. Learned the only way to add color to white is add yellow. Even on Cool Tone skin. A glob of 9CB with a dash of 10NA (yes that's scientific term) made my white roots match. Added 10NA solo to bleached ends that still had yellow I did not want. Now my hair is a cool 10NA. The color held strong for 3-4 washes about 2 weeks. Now it's finally at the point I can highlight & gloss. Would absolutely use this again to color deposit w Color Charm Activator not Developer. Hope this ever so short novel helps you find what you needed.

★★★★★ Beautiful Color and Perfect for Refreshing Hair!
I absolutely love the COLORCHARM Demi Permanent Hair Color! It’s perfect for refreshing my hair color between salon visits. The gloss finish gives my hair a healthy, vibrant shine without any harsh chemicals or damage. The formula is easy to apply and blends seamlessly, enhancing my natural color while toning down brassiness. I especially appreciate that it lasts long enough to keep my hair looking fresh but fades gradually without any harsh lines. If you want an easy, gentle way to refresh and tone your hair color at home, this product is a fantastic choice!

Great dryer a a great price
I have purchased this many times. This is definitely the best priced for the Demi permanent dye that I found online. I love this guy as it does not break my out and it covers my grays well. I’ve recently tried the lighter hair Hughes and they still work pretty good, but not as great for covering up the grades. Still overall really love this brand and will continue to use

Not worth your time, energy, or money!!
For those who don't want to read a novel (although I suggest you do since I know these were not fully beginner mistakes): Very messy application, color is patchy after thorough application, color lasted worse than a semi permanent dye, lifted roots in a weird way For those who want to understand the full issue: This color is a mess in so many ways, the inconsistency between the different colors is insane. I have tried 6g, 7wg, 7rr, and 5rr and I can't say I've been pleased with any of them. The 6g and 7wg are probably the better of the ones I've tried, since they stayed pretty good, but the 7wg faded horribly fast for me. The 6g didn't really budge (I only kept the color for around 2 weeks) and when I bleached my hair (I should have used a color remover but I didn't) my hair turned a nasty orange so be aware of that, that's most likely due to the golden undertones. For the red shades, I know they fade fast because that is the nature of the hair color and molecules but these reds faded too fast, I've used semi permanents that have lasted significantly longer than this. I tried to mix 7wg, 5rr, and 7rr, and got a gorgeous Auburn color but after ONE wash in super cold water, literally all of the color rinsed out. I thought it was maybe my bleached hair that caused the color to not stick (I FILLED the hair beforehand so the starting shade was 1-2 levels lighter than my final goal shade) but even on my healthy roots, the color is gone. Bare in mind I'm not clueless on hair color so I used special sulfate and paraben/ color safe shampoo and that still happened. The application process was also way too messy, this new formula is significantly more liquidy so if you can, use a bottle for application and be prepared to clean up a lot. The color runs a ton but that's to be expected with red shades. Red dye generally does fade faster and run a lot, because of the larger dye molecules, but this was excessive for a demi permanent shade. Lastly, I like to oversaturate my hair and do very small sections so I KNOW I don't miss any spots so with this hair color, I used 2 1/2 tubes of color and the corresponding amount of developer (I measured everything) and did my very small sections and cross checked as I usually do when I apply color. The color came out patchy in some areas and looked like I didn't saturate or section enough, which I know I didn't do. Again, that could be due to my bleached hair and uneven porosity but the patchiness happened in areas other than my "problem area" or super porous area. Also I fully understand 10 volume developer can have some lifting capabilities but now that the color has washed out, my roots are not the same color they were before, which makes this the most bizarre experience I have ever had with a demi permanent color. I've used other brands in the past and my natural color stayed the same but that's not the case with this stuff. I've never gambled before but this hair color truly feels like I did. I've now wasted $35, all of my Sally's rewards, and a lot of time trying to make this stuff work but it never did. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this hair color! If you have light enough natural hair or bleached hair and use semi permanent dye, yes it could wash out fast but compared to this demi permanent color, it would be more worth it since there's no developer, less damage. What ever you do, I would stay away from this garbage. ***Final thoughts: This demi permanent color behaves a lot like a semi permanent color (running and fading fast) but in my experience, way worse. Please keep all of these things in mind if you decide to purchase, you are putting developer in your hair, damaging your hair, for a subpar result. I have experience and there's always room to learn, but this was unlike any other color I have used.***

Solved My Grey Coverage Issue, Less Damage Than Permanent Color
I use 5N with a 10 vol creme developer, mixing 1:1, and it effectively covers my grey hair without needing touch-ups more often than permanent haircolor. My line of demarcation, when I can see new growth, looks more blended than it did with permanent color with 20 vol developer. Parts of my hair are nearly 100% grey now, and I have found that mixing 1:1 rather than 2:1 works best for me. My hair is less damaged since changing to this product. I always thought I needed ammonia in permanent haircolor to cover all my grey, but I don't. This blends it all with dimension. It doesn't look harsh and unnatural, like shoe polish, as some darker shades on an older person can. I'm in my 50s and started going grey at 14, so I've tried a lot of different things over the years. This is the answer for me. I'll use this from now on, as long as I have hair.
