This device works really well at helping keep an umbrella grounded. It actually supplies a little more stability when there is more wind than usual. I like this device.

This product is easy to use, but I have a large umbrella and just need a heavier one. I still will use it and see how it des in strong winds we get in SC.

Boy this round water filled weight for a patio umbrella stand has been a game changer for me! Prior to getting this the least bit of wind would start moving and shifting my umbrella around. I found myself sitting in my chair by the umbrella, holding onto the umbrella stand so it didn’t blow over. Ever since I ordered this weight, my umbrella is staying firmly in place even with excessive wind. It looks like an inner tube and you fill it with water and then seal it up by placing the little stopper in it. I found that filling it with water and getting it sealed up was a bit challenging, but I was able to get a fair amount of water in the tube. I sealed it and was able to place it on my umbrella. Overall, I’m really impressed with this weight. It’s such a simple solution, especially you don’t want to use heavy stones around your umbrella stand. I recommend it to anyone who is using a patio umbrella in a windy location.

This is good for smaller umbrellas. Due to its plastic design it can get hot in the sun. In term of holding down the base it doesn't hold much and if there's enough wind it won't hold down the umbrella. On the good side it is easy to use and can empty the water easily if you want to take it with you.
