Olympia U.S.A. Element 18" Backpack Backpack, MAROON

I bought this backpack for my exceptionally selective son. He is very high functioning on spectrum and he had this backpack for 2-3 years before the zipper broke. He also isn't very gentle with his things, so that is definitively speaking to its quality.We tried to buy him another popular name brand backpack from a big box store and he wasn't happy with it. I ended up returning that bag and going on a mission to find the exact same bag he had. Luckily, I quickly found it on Amazon.It's surprisingly hard to find a good, minimalist backpack. Most backpacks have an extraneous amount of pockets, are awkwardly sized, and have obnoxious designs. This one has just the right amount and size of pockets and is the perfect size to fit all of my son's school materials.Definitely hoping they don't redesign this backpack and it will be available in another few years when my son needs another new one.

This backpack isalready falling apart after 4 weeks use. Past the return window, but wish I could get a refund.

The size is perfect for my daily needs. I used it as a carry on for my airline travel. Looks great too.

This backpack is perfect for what my girlfriend is looking for - a work daypack that will fit her laptop and the other goodies she schleps around from her home office to the coffee shops in which she loves to work.The Olympia sports a top pocket for odds and ends, a front pocket with 2 inside pockets, one being zippable. The non-zippable pocket also has handy slots for pens or a stylus. The pack also has two side pockets, perfect for water bottles or drinks.The main compartment is surprisingly roomy, large enough in fact to fit a laptop (in its own pocket secured by Velcro,) with lots of room left over for chargers, notebooks and maybe even lunch.Tho pack is good looking- the grey color contrasts nicely against the faux leather trim. My only critique in fact is that fake leather trim: it looks a bit cheap, but then what can you expect for this price? The pack looks well constructed from water resistant polyester and seems rugged enough to last for some time.Verdict: Two thumbs up for a nice work/school daypack.

Seam hole on bag, poor construction.Looks nice, but I need to sew the bag up completely. So there may be defects with other orders too. will be ok for lightweight storage. Definitely looks like a herschel bag.
