Heats fast, heats well. Excellent lighting and grip.

Works well and price was right
No frills but gets the job done. Use for soldering that needs a higher wattage than standard pencil iron. LED halo light is helpful. Large tip isn’t for precision but has high thermal transfer to item that may be sinking the heat away. Overall very happy with purchase

Useful Soldering Iron
I purchased this soldering iron to replace a very old one I had that had seen the end of it's usefulness. I am happy with it, but the diameter for the tips is 10mm (.396) and I have .243 plastic welding tips. I thought about returning it, but I was able to machine an adapter to use my .243 tips in the .396 barrel of this iron. It takes about 5 minutes to fully heat up, but I really like it for my plastic welding projects. It holds it's heat, even while welding long cracks, something my old iron had trouble doing. I am satisfied with this purchase.

Stained Glass Vital Tool
I've built stained glass panels and taught classes for over 30 years. Weller is my go-to soldering iron. It is reasonably priced, and does a decent job when attached to a temp-controller. I’ve used other brands, but for the price, Weller does just as good a job as the other more expensive brands.

Not heating and not new
I give it one star because is no cero , first it look not new , second didn’t heat so a was unable to use in my protect , I sent a mensaje to Amazon but no help , I know I can return it but I’m leaving in a place where is not easy to go to the city and return, it was not value for my money.

Amazing product
What game changer. Sure wish I got this decades ago for my ha radio work. It gets hot fast. What really makes this thing work is the surface are of the tip. It's probably a hair less than a square centimeter on each side. Being able to apply heat over such a large area compared to a tip makes such a difference.
