Fantastic and a great time saver
Wanted one of these for a while as I hate ironing. Good reviews and a known brand pointed me in this direction. Love it. I put seriously creased sheets on my bed as I'm bad at ironing so no point but you know when they bunch up cos you didn't fold them properly? Anyway see photos and I didn't spend very long doing it as I didn't want to risk the steam making the sheets even slightly damp.I then tested it on a white summery blouse that I wore once and has been on the ironing pile ever since (yeah, I know...)! Great job done again and so quickly. I bought a steamer mit too, and you do need one.Very easy to fill & empty. Heats up quick. Cord is a reasonable length though will kink as it's the same as you get on an iron. Stands upright so easy to put somewhere while it cools.Nit tried the cleaning side of things yet but I think that will be fine too.

Plenty of steam
This produces lots of steam very quickly. As others have said the water tank is a tad small, but if it was larger then it would be heavier. It works very well, and is ideal for shirts, trousers & even my curtains.Instructions are clear and it is reassuringly well made. This has become my main method for ironing. The price is good & it's good to have a known brand.

Good steamer
My life has changed since I bought this steamer. Before, I never ironed any clothes because I found it unbelievably boring; since I got this steamer I’m looking forward to steaming clothes! It doesn’t leak and the tank is a reasonable size (can do 1-2 outfits or one curtain before I need to refill). The cable is also quite long which makes it easier to steam things like curtains. I’ve only had it for a few days but so far I would say it’s value for money.

Decent but has a couple of issues
The 3 metre long cord is great, the weight isn't too much even when full but there are a couple of things that will put me off buying this brand again. The water reservoir is awkward to fill without a little jug and a jug is not included in the box (fortunately I have one from a previous steamer)The lint remover has the material glued onto it. Guess what - steam and glue are not a good combination and it's already starting to come off. Bad design for that feature.

Not for me - I prefer ironing
I've changed my review from 3 to 5 stars, as having used it for a few weeks I've learned how to get the best out of it and I've become much quicker. The iron & ironing board have been made redundant! 😆 I 💯 recommend.Practice makes perfect 👌Having used this for the first time today I'd say using this steamer is much more time consuming and laborious than ironing. If you're short on space then I can see the appeal, or if you're away on business and need to press one shirt on the go. But if you have a large family & a have a huge load to do -- a good old steam iron & ironing board wins every time🤴 🙌Also, it has to be used in an upright position (water leaks out if horizontal), so I'm not sure how people steam their bedding whilst on their bed - plus the cord isn't long enough?

Very straightforward, powerful and impressive
I bought this clothes steamer as a slightly cheaper model I had previously bought was faulty just after the year. I thought I'd spend a little bit more even though this was available in the sale, and Russel Hobbs is a name I trust. The first thing that I have to commend RH for is the length and quality of the cord; as I use the steamer for mattresses and upholstery, it really benefits from a long lead. Previous ones I have used a far shorter - fine for garments that can brought closer but not much fun for bigger items. This gives you ample freedom which was a massive plus. The cord was also a woven, hard-wearing plastic one, the kind that you see in higher end AV cabling; I always favour this as it tends to kink less and is much more robust. It is quite a big machine so I'm not sure I would use it for travel - it doesn't collapse or fold away, so that is an important consideration. It took longer than I expected to heat up, but that's me being picky. The attachments allow for a variety of garments and fabrics to be looked after and I've used it on shirts and blouses, then on bed sheets and furniture. It might be heavier than some on the market (another consideration perhaps) but in my imperfect system of thinking, I always equate a bit of weight with something sturdy and this fits the bill. Great product and the two year warranty finishes it off nicely.
