Comfortable and practical
This is a super backpack, plenty of room for big loads and has compression straps to take up the slack when only partially filled. The sprung 'trampoline' back is a godsend as I always end up with a sweaty back when wearing a backpack but this has solved that problem for me. Sure, this is expensive but the price is justified by the quality and features of the product. Plenty of big pockets with decent zippers and the integrated rain cover is a natty feature. The Osprey no-quibble lifetime guarantee is a reassurance to have as well. I did find that 36L is really spacious, maybe too much for a day hike so I bit the bullet and also bought a 26L Stratos (in blue) as they had a massive 30% discount on Amazon a few weeks back so that I have a decent backpack for whatever the situation.

Brilliant!
I bought this backpack so that I can go on my walks and hikes and carry my camera equipment comfortably. After some long googling and reading on forums I went for the Stratos 36. The back system is excellent, makes it very comfortable to carry a load and not put strain on the back or shoulders. There are an incredible number of pockets and I have used all of them without feeling that they are awkwardly placed. The bag is so good that it is my regular/daily backspace now; no other pack is as comfortable or useful. Highly recommend to anyone!

Good ruck sack
For those who suffer from sweaty back syndrome and want carry lots of stuff on a day out, this ruck sack fits the bill. I have used it a few times since purchasing it has volumes of space, and handy storage pockets for all my worldly goods. It is comfortable and not heavy. Only advice is try it for size first.

Best backpack I've had.
Having had a few backpacks in my time for hiking, I can honestly say this is the best one yet. First Osprey one, and have already found it to be great, lightweight, plenty of pockets, ample room for storage and the frame in the back area really helps to keep it sturdy preventing any sagging when loaded up.

Lasts and is durable
My favourite backpack, had for a few years now and I absolutely love it. It is durable and hasn't let me down in the slightest. It is also very comfy.I am 6ft2 and have back issues, this backpack is perfect for me.Sure there maybe lighter packs at higher prices but this is ideal still for long hikes/wild camps. If you have loads of kit then maybe something bigger in ltrs but for medium lightweight and traveling far this is great. All zips, pockets, straps etc are still in great condition

Great pack!
Great pack, very comfy and weight is easily distributed with the various adjustments on it. Only one complaint i have is that it won't sit on it's on without leaning against something which can be a pain but, apart from that i love it!

Amazing - with great guarantee
There are times in life when you get something and wonder what on earth you did before having it - this backpack was one of those. I've done quite a bit of hiking including 3 caminos de Santiago so you get to really experience your gear. My old backpack (a Berghaus) had served me well but at 65L it had always been too big and you tend to fill that space; so I decided to buy this for weekends.Even after months of use every time I put it on I'm amazed by how comfortable it is and the little details it has like the loops on the zips. Its so good that I'm going to use it for my next Camino de Santiago despite been a little over half the size of my old pack.Update: after nearly 3 years of hard use the cheast clip broke. I contacted Osprey on their site, with a description of the problem (didn't even need to provide receipts), and they immedietly sent out the part with clear instructions of how to affix it. Broken to fixed in 5 days!

Excellent. Sold on Osprey bags.
Excellent quality and incredibly comfortable. Never had a bag as comfortable to the point where you forget you're wearing it. Previous bags have made my shoulder ache on a long walk but not this. Ample size for coats, food, drinks and a camera. Walking pole loop is a surprisingly good addition.
