Works great for Apple TV
I had a different brand that worked fine until a bolt of lightning hit right next to our house, killing it. Not the fault of the splitter! I purchased 2 of these to connect our Apple TV's to 24" computer monitors. They've been working perfectly for a year now.

Almost perfect.
This finally solved my problem of getting audio along with video for my home theater. I have to mention the USB power cord, though. It's so short it's absolutely ridiculous. They can't really expect anyone to be able to use the device with that short of a wire. It's not even long enough to get from my outlet to any surface to place the splitter on, lol. I had to spend more money to buy a USB extension cord, which also delayed me even being able to use the device. People should be aware of that before purchasing. Good product otherwise.

Disappointed
I was excited to receive this product. It was not about to extract 4k. The output has no signal. Also according to the manual that comes with can only extract PCM /LPCM / 2.0CH contrary to what the description here in Amazon says.

Worked as advertised, though I ended up not needing it in the end.
Got this so I could duplicate the output from my PC and send it over CAT 6 cable using a converter.Worked as expected but the HDMI to CAT 6 converter I used didn't work over a long distance so I replaced that. The item I replaced it with included 2 HDMI outputs which negated the need for this product.No complaints though.

Works great with an overhead projector and seperate sound system
A great product overall; no distortion and no static from the sound output. We have the audio out connected to an FM transmitter to receive on the other end of a large meeting room wirelessly to an overhead PA system, the picture and audio quality remains crisp and vivid with this splitter in place.
