Worked perfectly on restoring a damaged sink
Someone in my house tried to clean my stainless steel sink with toilet bowl cleaner and it left it badly stained. I read a few of the reviews on this and thought I would give it a shot. I have a triple sink and after working on it for about an hour with a lot of elbow grease I got ride of most of the discoloration. I worked on it for another hour and the sink is pretty much back to normal. I am going to keep working on it as time permits but this is a really good product. I was worried that I was going to have to replace a very expensive sink that is mounted below quartzite countertops. I wouldn't worry about the price of the product it worked wonders. You don't have to use a lot , use it sparingly and keep changing rags. It's kind of like polishing silver or brass. It actually gives it a nice shine after you are done.

It works well and Restores Metal
I used a cleaner on one spot of my stainless steel refrigerator and stripped a coat off. I bought the 3M Metal Restorer and it brought back the shine. I did have to put in on several times to bring back the stainless steel shine but this product is wonderful and it works. A must have around the house m.

Works and worth the money
Do you know what happens to a stainless steel sink if you pour sulphuric acid in it? I do! Had a bad sink clog and poured the acid product into the drain. However, it backed up and filled the sink with gross sink stuff and the acid. After the plumber cleared the clog I saw that my sink was ruined. Or so I thought. I tried five items on the market with no success. The sink was splattered with dark spots and was as dull as dirt, looking matte grey. I read about 3M’s marine metal polish and restorer and bought it. $45 was a hefty price for a polish but my uniquely shaped sink was going to cost more than $2,000 to replace! Today it took me two hours of applying, scrubbing and buffing with a dry towel but—my sink looks brand new. I won’t lie—it took lots of elbow grease and effort—but the end result is amazing.

THE BEST POLISH I HAVE EVR USED!!!
This bye far the best polish I have ever used! I have a couple sport trucks, have had various polished aluminum wheels on either truck. I live in Washington state [plenty of rainy days, and deicer on roadways] This last winter the deicer they sprayed really did a number on my wheels, left huge oxidation spots, I tried never dull, mothers, and an old metal gloss brand polish to no avail. I talked to a dump truck driver buddy, the company he works for prides themselves in the look and upkeep of their trucks. I asked him what they used for polish, he mentioned 3M polish, I researched a bit and landed on this one, I'm glad I did! I figured out quickly that the polish works better using it by hand, manually. You will go through a lot of paper towels, I used the blue paper shop towels from Costco, worked perfect. I even tried it on a set of wheels I bought and didn't use[project on the back burner] they have literally sat boxed for 11 years, oxidized, man did they polish up nicely! Lit the project fire in me again! I'm working on acquiring another 1911 project, going to need a good polishing it is stainless, I will definitely use this 3M product in the process! Bye the way it did not take much pressure to polish out the heavily tarnished areas, I recommend wearing gloves, your hands will be filthy after, but worth it! The polish paste had just the right amount of grit.

Amazing, Almost Magical results - only returned product or miss filled
This product is simply amazing, it removes rust from stainless steel & chrome boat parts like magic when other products like pink stuff, Rust Off etc - hardly makes any difference. I can't say enough good about it. I bought this after I tried some from a friend on salt water usage rust here in SWFL. Reason for the single star is the contain had a bulge in it and when I opened it up, a significant size bubble hole from process filling and/or someone returned it as it did not have a security seal on it. Either way, a sizable amount was missing from the container. I would have returned it, however, I had to use it on my day off and could not wait. Great stuff otherwise
