Mad Dog 357 Pure Ghost, 5oz

This sauce has great flavor but is relatively mild. By "relatively", I mean when compared to Dave's Insanity, Mad Dog 357 Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce (note the difference, ... not 'pure ghost'), and even Blairs After Death.The Mad Dog 357 Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce is much, much hotter since it includes pepper extract. This 'pure ghost' sauce does not include pepper extract, so it is only as hot as the peppers and other ingredients make it. That said, it is still much hotter than Tabasco and still deserves some respect.Depending on how much heat you like, this sauce may be 'just right'. It has excellent flavor and a moderate amount of heat.-- Update, July 3, 2011 --Over time, this has become one of my favorite 'mild' sauces. The flavor is unique and is very good on sandwiches, wraps, and several other dishes. It isn't so mild (like most grocery store hot sauces) that I have to pour a whole bottle on something to get some burn. The label definitely over-hypes the heat, but if you can forgive them for that, and if you like the unique flavor, it is a good sauce.

I am of korean descent, and have had my share of spicy food. Korean food as you know has varying degrees of spicy foods that also taste amazing.The 357 pure ghost hot sauce by mad dog, is the best hot sauce I have had in a very long time, as far as the balance of flavor and heat is concerned. Its not hot at all in my opinion but it does have that bite that lingers nicely after consumption [not overbearing]. I can see why others have commented that this and the other non pure version were considered great flavor enhancers.I am a little disappointed as far as the heat level is concerned. I was hoping to experience more of the bhut jolokia, but over all I am very happy with experimenting with this brand. Mad Dog you have 1 more fan to add to your list of many. I will definitely be buying more hot sauces from this company, and very soon too.I highly recommend this hot sauce, to anyone who wants a step up from the bull sh-t you find at your local grocery store. This brand by far, beats out tobasco, franks red hot, red devil, and the other run of the mill brands u see in stores, in both heat content and flavor.Note: I have purchased from amazon a lot in the past, and this is the first time I felt a product was necessary/worthy of a review.

This Ghost Pepper Sauce is FANTASTIC!If you like HOT, You'll love this sauce. It is not just pure Ghost Pepper heat, it actually has a ton of flavor. So far I have used this in Chili & Pizza. You'll only need a few drops on whatever you need to add a little heat (and flavor) to; and although the bottle is fairly small, just a few drops will go a very long way... ENJOY!

I ordered this hot sauce and I love it! I put it on everything, it adds great flavor with just the right amount of spiciness. But the customer service was horrible. I received an extra bottle of this hot sauce, and I wanted to return it because it was cracked in half in the package. So I emailed the company, and they responded asking for pictures of the broken part so they can resolve this issue. So of course, i sent pictures. But they never returned back on what to do. They flat out ignored me. So i threw it away. I would recommend this hot sauce to anyone wishing for full flavor, and kick.In all, this is an excellent hot sauce for everyday use. Adds flavor and heat. But don't count on good customer service.

This item is SO HARD to find for some reason (in this form). TASTY!

I've had many different hot sauces, ranging from tapatio(well, less than that) to reaper mash. Everything from Moroccan flavoured hot sauces to raw honey hot sauces. This one in particular is one of my favourite everyday sauces as the flavor is great and I can use it in many different applications. I mix it in fry sauce or mayonaisse to dress it up a bit and add a small amount of heat, or put it on tacos. Packs a good amount of heat for a reputable ghost pepper hot sauce. Not one of the hot sauces that boasts ghost pepper and is disappointing to taste. Quite the opposite. This is one I keep around, and probably the hot sauce I use the most of. Enjoy!

After all of the hype about how wonderfully hot and flavorful ghost peppers are; all i can say is - meh, average, mediocre, nothing much to get excited about. I have to say that i was disappointed with this product.I have previously had the Mad Dog 6M scoville - it was much hotter and much better tasting than the pure ghost.In comparison the pure ghost sauce is honestly no hotter than a bottle of habanero Tabasco; although it does have better flavor than the Tabasco.Save your money - buy the Mad Dog 6m Scoville sauce instead if you're looking for something with really good heat and flavor.3 out of 5 for this product as hot sauces go and that's being a little generous cause I like this brand.

Got this as a gift once. Imagine my delight in finding it on amazon years later. OH YEAH MAN! This stuff will tear a hole through your innerds and entrails but man is it good stuff! Not the hottest by any means but them ghost chilis won't leave you the heck alone. I cut this with mayo and honey and make one heck of a delicious deli sauce for my boring ham and cheese. Or you can give it to your boss from Louisiana and not hear from her for two hours. When you do hear from her it is an exclamation of pain. **TRUE STORY BRO** So yeah, if you want a kick with some good flavor, don't pass up the 357!
