I've been a bluemaan customer for years and I love the quality of all of their products. The wax fiber is the best all-around for low shine, medium-high hold. For a good 3-4 hours this stuff will stand strong, but it is easily water soluble so sweat tends to take it out (I'm a forehead sweater) It never leaves my hair sticky or feeling gross. For the money it does give you fairly little but it depends on how you use it. For a guy with shorter hair I can make one of these last at least 6 months if I use it every day. Update 12/12/2016 Got my order of "Original" in direct from Blumaan and it is what I was expecting. White, not buttery, and hold is as expected. See last picture. Shows the latest and greatest direct from Blumaan, the stuff I got via Amazon and then a jar of Smooth (direct from Blumaan) for the heck of it. Color difference is easier to see in person but should be visible in the picture Update 12/2/2016 I've been in contact with Joe (and team) and have a few updates. I am sending this particular jar back via Amazon and have ordered a jar of Original direct from Blumaan as well as a jar of their new "smooth" (hey, why not?). Smooth came in yesterday and is MUCH more like what I'm used to. It's slightly more, well.. smooth, than Original, but overall it's not anything like what I received originally via Amazon. It's much thicker, white and not warm buttery looking/feeling. I'm not sure how but it appears I just got a bad jar somehow. I don't know if it had gotten too hot somewhere in transit or something else, but bottom line, it appears the product has not changed. I just got a bad jar somehow. In the future I will likely just order direct to try to avoid this happening again. I will update again once the new jar of "Original" comes in and also add some pictures comparing all 3 jars. Original Review 11/30/2016: have ordered this product several times since it was first introduced. It was literally the only product I had used since first trying it as I absolutely loved it. It was the only true low shine / high(ish) hold product that I've been able to find and worked great in my hair. That was then... The problem is my most recent order of Original is totally different. It's yellow instead of white, the consistency is like soft butter instead of the much more firm consistency that it had always been previously. The hold is also very much lacking now. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed. I contacted Blumaan via their website and was told that they recently made a container change and the "product may act a little different". Not sure how a container change alone would change the product to this degree. I originally thought maybe they had messed up and put the "Original" label on some of their new "Smooth" product, but apparently not. See attached pictures for old vs. new. I could totally understand the difference if this were their new "smooth" product or something along those lines, but this is not that.. this should be the same ol "original" I've been buying since it was first introduced, but it isn't. Or at least, in my opinion, it isn't. See attached pictures. The difference is even more obvious in person. Hopefully they go back to the old stuff is all I can really say.

Concrete hold, in a good way. Expensive but container lasts long cuz you only need a little bit to get a lotta hold. You better werk!

I have been a fan of Blumaan products since day one. I was very happy with the Monarch Matte Paste for many, many years. It was PERFECT!! I have tried the new reformulated cream and, I'm gonna be honest, its trash. The hold doesn't last more than 1 hour, the scent is terrible, and the texture of the product is super gritty. It just doesn't work. I get similar results with Axe Flexible Paste. Its time to move on and find something else. I still have a small jar of their old formula, and the results don't even compare to this new junk.

It's good but i dont think it worked that well with my hair, perhaps i need to buy a different product but it was supposed to be what i was looking for. Won't buy again but will probably buy from a competitor. Didn't control my hair all day.

I have thick hair, and not only does this product allow me to style it the way I want, but keeps in place — even after wearing a bicycle helmet for 30 minutes. I get compliments on my hair all the time and it’s doing large part because of this product. Also, I’ve been using this product for almost 10 years. I don’t think there’s a greater endorsement than that. Blu Maan — wanna hook your boy up?
