The photo is of a high nitrogen water soluble fertilizer sold specifically for use on orchids in the Spring and early Summer that are grown in greenhouses, sunrooms or similar high light conditions. The NPK analysis is 30-10-10. For orchids grown in lower light conditions (e.g. a sunny window or artificial lights) I would recommend less nitrogen from a urea free analysis like Growmore 20-10-20 or Dyna Grow 7-8-6 instead.

Is this item easy to use?

Yes, easy, but you should read the instructions and follow closely. Don't over fertilize and don't over water your orchids. They do best when they are slightly stressed (dry).

What is te shelf life of Grow More Orchid food?

I do not know the recommended shelf life...but I continue to use my supply. My orchids continue to look healthy and bloom. My supply is about 3 years old now, and I will not use it up this year either.

Is this safe to use on a outdoor gardinia tree?

I don't know about gardenias but I use it on my outdoor orchids
