LEM double grind
Grinder is well built and very good quality. One pass is all you need for burger. It is quiet and pumps out meat rapidly. I have #8 and I recommend highly.

Great grinder
I bought the LEM BigBite Dual Grind #8 for processing venison. Prior to buying this grinder, I was using a grinder attachment for my stand mixer. While grinding with the stand mixer worked, doing a double grind on venison was slow and cumbersome. With the LEM grinder, I processed about 25 pounds of venison and 20 pounds of pork for sausage making. Grinding and cleaning took less than an hour, and the quality of the grind was fantastic.

Dual Grind No#8 .0.50hp
Do your homework and read through the reviews with tips & tricks for the size for what you’re going to be processing. First, I don’t know what some of these reviewers are talking about, this #8 dual grind 0.50 hp unit ripped through 60lbs of venison in 30 minutes. There was two of us feeding the machine and cutting up the venison as I read that freezing helps to prevent clogging etc, one tip i would suggest is to take the extra time to cut out as much of the “silver fish” or senuw? (sorry spelling) you can which was great advice, didn’t bog or clog once, it was great, this #8 will grind as quick as you can feed it, grinds quickly with little to no effort as we mixed sausage in with a few batches.Perfect size for ANY outdoor sportsman that processes meat throughout the season. Machine is very heavy, well made and easy to clean. You won’t be disappointed, you want quality then you have to pay for it.

Wow! Works Great, Highly Recommended!
I’ve used older Lem meat grinders for years, grinding many pounds of venison.Durable, quality product. But this new BigBite Dualgrind #8 is a huge improvement, wonderful!I ground my first 20 lbs of venison last night with this new Lem, It took 9 minutes, total. With my older Lem grinder it would have taken 1 1/2 hours. It worked great, and is quieter than the older model.Highly recommended!

Great meat grinder
I am very happy with this dual grind machine. It processed about 25 pounds of pork into breakfast sausage in roughly 30 minutes and would have been faster if it hadn't been my first time filling casings lol.It has plenty of power and I expect to process a couple deer each year, plus plenty of beef and pork from the store. It was easy to clean using a couple bottle brushes and then drying in a 200F oven after cleaning. Also sprayed with the LEM silicone food safe spay before storing. The most difficult thing is removing and reinstalling the bushing using the provided bushing removal tool. A rubber mallet makes it easier fyi.I'd say the only thing I'd like to see them add is a speed/reverse control so one could slow the feed for sausage and also reverse if you get a jam.Overall, a terrific machine I'm really glad I purchased!

26+ pounds of pork in a jiffy
I'm not getting any younger and having a grinder instead of damaging my wife's kitchen aid mixer is the answer but WOW, this bad boy ain't gonna let nothing stop the grind. A Friday night spent making sausage might not interest you, but that's my speed and this unit gave me back a lot of time.

Recommend you power up
This is a solid machine, and we like the all stainless parts. Two of the consistent problems with other grinders we've had are 1) Plastic parts that would break and 2) Inadequate motor that would jam up easlily. The LEM 0.5HP solves the first one. The machine seems solid, and so far the parts seem like they will hold up over the long term. On number 2, though, we still have problems with jamming up. I think the next step up to the 1HP might solve the problem, but since we only use our grinder occasionally I didn't want to pay almost double if it wasn't necessary. Now I kind of regret it. We still like the machine a lot, but will have to be careful when putting meat in so we don't constantly have to pull it apart to remove the jams.
