Fabulous grown up Connect 4!
This is a fabulous grown up Connect 4, our family has always been a great fan of this game but never liked putting together the plastic version in the past and thought we'd grown out if it but now this can sit on the shelf looking stylish and it's ready to play at any minute, we absolutely love it, so pleased to have found this!

Overall a joy to play!
Overall, this Connect 4 game edition is a joy to play. I bought this for my 7yo son as a replacement for his crappy plastic aftermarket travel edition - because of the timber components. However, the 'rustication' (slight burning of the timber!) of the game's vertical sides is unnecessary & amateurish - I'd prefer to see the timber properly sanded with a light, protective coating. The playing pieces have been 'rusticated' by embossing (to emulate casino chips?), also unnecessary - plain colours would be preferable. Given these criticisms, this set is still infinitely better than a 100% plastic version, it's what I was looking for and the timber tokens lovely to use.
