Works GREAT!
Had to change my review...turns out my TRANSMITTER antenna was CRAP. Changed it out...and getting half mile range off an Omni with lots of signal to spare. Let the games begin. 🤣 ********** I'm not really getting any better performance out of this than I did the little ceramic antenna jobs. Was hoping for better. I'm going to fiddle with my transmitter antenna...see if that will get me farther out. Right now, my radio on 1W has shorter range than my VTX at .8W.

So far a great ELRS rxcr.
Got it on 3.0 RC1. No issues flying at the ranges in normally fly. Not a blip of signal degradation. Thing was was easy to solder as well unlike some of the more nano versions. Highly recommend 👍🏼

Half Baked Matek ExpressLRS ELRS 2.4GHz ELRS-R24-V Vario Receiver
For the money I really expected a whole lot more from Matek Systems. This is the most incomplete receiver that I have purchased in the last half century building and flying RC Models. This is a Bare Bones Receiver kit, 6 unsoldered straight & angled pins. No Box, Instructions, Shrink wrap, Protective sleeve, UART pins, Cables -> NOPE - ZERO - ZIP! Total rip off Matek! The Matek ELRS Receiver and the PWM conversion board requires quite a bit of work to get them both soldered, flashed separately, and working properly. If you are not comfortable soldering or working with the complicated flashing and wiring requirements this ELRS PWM may not be for you. I am going to give the Matek Systems Combo a very low four stars, the set will work as advertised given enough time and patience. They lost one plus star for the poor quality and incomplete packaging of this Matek Product. Flashing instructions and partial wiring diagrams are available on the Matek product page. I found using the BetaFlight Expresslrs CP2102 Recovery Dongle with the TTL Conversion Board worked much better and more reliable than the HiLetgo CP2102 USB Board. Fly-On! Have Fun!! Bye :P

Very low range with the wrong firmware
I returned one and received a replacement. Both exhibit very low range for an ExpressLRS receiver. All my other ExpressLRS receivers will fly as far as my eyes can see without an issue. However both these Matek vario receivers will start to drop in signal quality as close as 50 meters. Finally after a lot of trouble shooting I found out I have to flash the proper firmware to the receiver for it to work. I cannot use any of the Matek firmware. I had to flash a generic ESP8285 firmware to the receiver.
