Well made cable, I got it to use with obd ports far under dash so I can see all the indicators lights on the dongle, for 10 bucks really a no brainer!

This tool does so much for the price point! So easy and useful! The app (I installed on my iPad) makes this very close to a scanner that I paid $1000 for. So far the only disappointment is that unlike most other scanners, it doesn’t display the vehicle’s battery charge state. But as I said, for the cost it is so very useful, even on my Mercedes W223. (Which the ICON T10 @ $1,600 had difficulty with).

I have only needed to use it twice thus far, and it did what it was supposed to do. The cable itself feels durable in the hand and adds enough reach for my D7S to reach the front of the engine bay on any SUV. Customer service has been top notch through Xtool and if I ever lost this cable, I would not hesitate to purchase again!

I'd recommend getting this extension to preserve your OBDII device. With the extension, you can also monitor the battery voltage (on the XTOOL A30M). Sometimes, the OBD connector on the car has issues. I've seen some cases and some other damaged my scanner plug... This one is just an easy to replace accessory. Some cars have their OBD hidden very well where the OBD dongle can't be placed. This extension fixes the problem. I had made some modification (on another one I have) and pulled 12V output for USB charging my tablet while working on troubleshooting.
