I haven't done any resin work for several years, so was pleased to be able to review this set.This is a well presented set, with almost everything you need to start experimenting.All you also need are Things to add in to the resin!Almost anything will work (or be fun to try) from shells, pebbles, flowers, to bits of broken jewellery, beads, mementoes.I'd suggest trying non-precious things first until you get the hang of it.Also dyes work really well, with or without inclusions.I'd also suggest having a look at 'how to' videos etc online. Plastic gloves , table covers, wooden stirrers and tweezers are your friends. So is good ventilation.The instructions included are good and certainly useful, but the more information the better.I found the amounts included were generous and definitely enough to decide whether it's the sort of hobby you want to continue.It's great fun.Thanks for reading, I hope you find this review helpful.

I'm absolutely no expert with resin but I really wanted to have a go and thought I'd try this one.It comes packaged in a box with the harder & resin both being in180ml bottles so this is a ratio of 50:50 to mix which I much prefer it's so much easier to measure when using small amounts. You also get 2 small hard plastic measuring pots a bit like you get with medicines and you get a few disposable pourable pot's with a little pour lip for even pouring, you get gloves and a dust sheet which I thought was a nice addition for covering your desk or worktop. It has 2 wooden stirring sticks, plastic tweezers and 2 pippets.Also included was a bag of colour shifting mylar which is really cool stuff.I'm not sure exactly what the pigments are, they don't smell like alcohol inks because you can usually smell those, they're not uv gel because again you can smell them a mile off where as these pigments really don't have any smell so I'm not sure what they are but you get 10 colours including black & white. I used the blue, red, purple and white which seemed to work fine in my 1st attempt don't ask me what I was making because I've no clue! I just wanted to see if it set properly which it did on all 3 attempts! It set completely hard with no bending so I'm really happy with it and will be getting the hang of now. I can see this being really good fun and probably addictive!!

This is a nice starter kit for anyone wishing to try out using epoxy resin for any small-scale project. The pack comes with a two-part resin (A) and hardener (B) solutions each of 180ml totalling a full 360ml in volume of epoxy. To support the user in measuring out equal quantities of A and B, there are 2 separate measuring pots with graduations for accuracy. There are also for use thereafter, 8 thin plastic moulded pots upon which you can transfer the mixture too and add dye or confetti too. The product comes with an excellent array of different dyes, 10 to be exact! You can also mix and match these as required to get the right sort of colour for what you need, although you will need to do this by eye as the instructions for this are somewhat limited. Not that I used this, but the product also comes with a large pouch our blue/purple confetti pieces and two wooden spatulas for mixing into the product. The resin cures in a 24hr period which is pretty standard and dries very firm and strong. Overall a nice starter set and reasonably priced compared to other resins and dye sets on the market.

This is a nice small starter kit to begin resin crafting. Good to try it out if you've never done it before. It doesn't come with any silicone moulds, but these can be bought on Amazon very cheaply.This kit comes with 360ml of resin, split between Part A and Part B, which is mixed equally. It also includes some colourant, measuring cups, mixing sticks, gloves and some glitter. You don't get a lot of resin, but it's enough to do a set of small coasters, just so you can get a feel for using it.The resin is quite viscous, meaning it's thick to pour, but I prefer that type of resin anyway as different colours do not blend as much. You will see quite a few bubbles initially, but they dissipate after about 10 minutes, and once poured they will rise to the surface and pop on their own. I found very few bubbles left in my finished piece.A nice inexpensive beginner's kit, with all that you'll need (except the mould), so you can try out resin crafting without too much initial outlay.

After 4 days I gave up and tried again but again after 3 days it was still wet.

Ho acquistato questo set perché mi serviva della resina epossidica con buone recensioni ed ad un buon prezzo ma volevo anche iniziare a lavorare con i pigmenti liquidi. La resina ha veramente un'ottima resa, pochissime bolle ed una bella viscosità. Al primo impatto i barattolini dei pigmenti mi sembrano veramente piccoli però effettivamente ne bastno due gocce per colorare sicché nel complesso sono felice di aver scelto questo set. Torno a dire resina praticamente senza bolle (io la miscelo a mano con stecchino di legno, lentamente da sotto verso l'alto per tre minuti).

Pour aider l'utilisateur à mesurer des quantités égales de A et B, il y a 2 pots de mesure séparés avec des graduations pour plus de précision. Il y a également, pour une utilisation ultérieure, 8 pots moulés en plastique fin sur lesquels vous pouvez transférer le mélange et ajouter du colorant ou des confettis. Le produit est livré avec un excellent éventail de colorants différents. Vous pouvez également les mélanger et les assortir selon vos besoins pour obtenir la bonne couleur, mais vous devrez le faire à l'œil car les instructions sont quelque peu limitées. Je ne les ai pas utilisés, mais le produit est également livré avec un grand sachet de confettis bleus et violets et deux spatules en bois pour le mélanger au produit. La résine durcit dans une période de 24 heures, ce qui semble assez commun, et sèche pour un résultat très ferme et solide. Dans l'ensemble, il s'agit d'un bon kit de démarrage, dont le prix est raisonnable par rapport aux autres résines et teintures disponibles sur le marché.

Ahora es importante respetar los tiempos de secado y tener en cuenta que la temperatura ambiente influye mucho y a veces es conveniente dejarlo secar durante más tiempo, también influye la cantidad, ya que no es lo mismo una capa de epoxi pequeña “Un llavero”, que hacer una pieza del tamaño de una manzana, aunque está indicado que en 24 horas estaría endurecido, todo dependerá del tamaño de la pieza que hayas hecho. Como ejemplo, he tenido piezas grandes y he tenido que esperar poco más de 48 horas.Esta resina epoxi tiene un acabado como el cristal, de mano no necesita de lijado, siempre y cuando uses un molde adecuado. (El mantel de plástico)2- Es conveniente saber la cantidad de epoxi que vamos a usar (Si usamos un molde podemos llenarlo de agua y verterlo en un vaso de medición y ver la cantidad exacta que necesitamos), puesto que si se hace a ojo es posible que te sobre o te falte, además estos envases tienen una cantidad muy justa (Para piezas pequeñas)3- Es importante que el molde que vayamos a emplear esté limpio, que no tenga polvo, o que la superficie donde se eche el epoxi no sea adherente, ya que se pegaría (En el caso de hacer piezas), si es para verterlo no hay problema.4- Este epoxi al ser transparente permite que hagas varias capas y estas no sean visibles, es decir, si quieres hacerlo por capas no hay problema. (No se va a notar, siempre que no se utilicen tintes o añadidos). Además, el tiempo de secado se acorta.5- Es crucial hacer bien la mezcla, ya que si no lo removemos bien es muy posible que la pieza que hagamos quede pegajosa y no termine de secarse nunca debido a no estar bien mezclada (50% de A + 50% de B).6- Para que no te salgan burbujas en la pieza que hagamos hay 3 maneras de evitarlo, estas son:A- Cuando se mezcle ha de hacerse sumamente despacio para evitar crear burbujas, también influye cuando se vierte. (Podemos dejarlo reposar 2-3 minutos, ya que empieza a endurecerse a los 20 minutos, Indicados 30-40).B- Usamos un soplete de cocina o mechero soplete para quitar las burbujas superiores, pero no las inferiores. (Lo bueno que tiene este epoxi es que una vez mezclado hay bastante tiempo para colocar la pieza y retirar las posibles burbujas que se formen). Indicar que se hacen pasadas con la llama para eliminar las burbujas, no se trata de calentar o quemar la pieza o el molde.C- Existe en el mercado un líquido específico para no tener burbujas (Pero está pensado para piezas grandes o muy grandes, además es bastante costoso).7- Lo más relevante es dejar que la resina epoxi trabaje y se endurezca, aunque pone que en 24 horas estará endurecida, hay que tener en cuenta 2 cosas, no es lo mismo hacer una pieza con epoxi de 3 mm que hacer una pieza de 80 mm. Cuanta más cantidad de resina estemos usando, más tardara en endurecerse. Además, influye la temperatura ambiente en este proceso.* He empleado esta resina epoxi para hacer llaveros donde he colocado sellos, monedas, flores, un insecto muerto y hasta un procesador de un PC.** Lo bueno de esta resina es que no necesita luz ultravioleta para secarse, es de secado lento, pero no precisa de complementos.*** Es una resina totalmente funcional, ahora es importante utilizar las medidas adecuadas para su manipulación y si va a ser empleada con menores estar en todo el proceso con ellos.Truco: Al ser de 2 componentes este producto puede durar muchos años, si con el tiempo o con baja temperatura vemos que en vez de estar transparente se opaca o solidifica un poco, solo con ponerlo al baño maría durante ± 2 minutos volverá a estar transparente y fluido (Evitar que el plástico toque directamente el metal de la olla para que no se derrita).
