Good mat crap roller.
The sound deadening material worked very well. I was concerned due to it being only 50 mil. I installed it into an 89 jeep cherokee which is a whole lot of steel and it flexed and rattled like crazy. This one kit was enough to do each door with 1 layer but not the outer skin of both doors. The doors still flex alot however it does not rattle which is the main reason i purchased this.I noticed an improvement in bass that i was hearing from my subwoofer. The door speakers bass was unchanged. The mid bass was slightly stronger and clearer and the treble was now crystal clear. The applicator/roller is complete garbage. It is plastic and it is tiny and weighs nothing. All of these are negatives. The roller is attached to a metal rod that has pinched out sides. These pinched out sides grind away at the plastic and eventually the roller will break or fall off.. It being so light prevents you from putting enough pressure to properly secure the sound deadening material. And the small size makes this job take even longer than it really should. All in all its a decent kit especially for a beginner but i recommend at the very least spending an extra 15-20 dollars on a steel roller with bearings. Because like myself once you see the benefits of doing just the doors...your going to want to do the whole thing.

Useful but not as good as Mass Loaded Vinyl
I use this as a base layer on rattling parts and metal. It's decent in reducing rattle, and is ok as an insulator. So I put on Mass Loaded Vinyl (I think it's 1 pound per square foot) on the floors under the carpet, and wherever else I wanted sound deadening and insulation. The MLV has closed cell foam on it too, which doesn't absorb water. I guess they use it on commercial jets as soundproofing. It's also stuff they use on luxury cars. It was developed as an alternative to lead and tar. That stuff has helped tremendously, and I got it at a local supplier (too heavy to ship without paying a lot).Obviously, you are adding weight to the car, but usually if you're into big stereos, you would do this anyway.

Good stuff!
Mix up the degreaser (its just citrus cleaner) and after wiping the surface clear the gtmat sticks firmly to the car's body. I layered it a bit directly behind my new speaker installation points, as well as covering approx 50% of the surface. It cuts up easy with a carpet razor, and the metal has a texture to it that comes in handy in spotting places that haven't been pushed 100% up against the frame. Cut with a razor to get air out and close any gaps, it only works as much as it can be bonded to the body. The main effect is vibration reduction, with a slight drop in road noise (like I said I only did ~50% coverage)It feels like the speakers are directing sound more into the main cabin, especially the lower frequencies. I don't go crazy with bass, so I can't vouch for that performance.Overall I would say defiantely worth the money. I seriously doubt you will regret taking the time to add this stuff.

Huge improvement in stereo sound! Outstanding value!!
I bought this for a 2000 Nissan Frontier. Given the age of the truck, it had more than it's fair share of rattles. I first installed a new CD/AM/FM/MP3 stereo receiver, then installed a new set of component speakers, and was very underwhelmed. It sounded better than the factory set up, but fell short of the improvement I was hoping for. That's when I purchased the GTMAT sound dampening kit. I used roughly 4 sq. ft. on each door and couldn't believe what a huge improvement it made. Suddenly, with the GTMAT installed, my new stereo and speaker set up had defined bass, crisp high-end, and smooth mid-range. I still can't get over the impact 4 sq. ft. of this stuff made. The fact that the kit included the degreaser mix and a roller made it a superior value. I highly urge you to consider this if you are looking to upgrade your sound, regardless of your budget.

I found this GTMAT for a good price. 1 box was not enough
When I decided to soundproof my doors and back panels of my extended cab truck, I found this GTMAT for a good price. 1 box was not enough, but I was on a budget. so I went to Lowes and purchased Frost king duct wrap for at least half the price and it comes in a roll 12 in x 20 ft. It is not that different and the GTMAT is a little heavier but thinner.

use it on both doors on my car
This dampener was easy to install. Does not look or feel cheap. No smell or problems yet everything good so far. If you own a Chevy Cobalt 2dr you well need to orders (2boxes) not enough GTMAT with one order for both doors.

GTMAT 12 sqft Automotive Constrained Layer Dampener Audio Sound Dampening...
Packaging was great, item came quickly and the items inside were as decribed,I sounded deadend a panel that was vibrating on our air conditioner cabinet outside the house,it sticks very well and so far the Arizona heat has not made the material unattach itself to the A/C unit even tho its hot to the touch this product really holds to the steel cabinet nicely. I would recommend the dealer and the product.

Missing All Extras
All that arrived was a box with the rolled up deadener inside, none of the extras mentioned in the listing. No roller, stickers, degreaser, etc. Ordering different kits from now on.
