Great antenna
Excellent antenna as you would expect from TRAM, works really well for GMRS.

Great 1/4 wave antenna at a decent price
Update: still liking this antenna, have three of them now. As most Motorola radio installers know 'ya just can't beat a quarter wave on a good ground plane. Those longer "gain" antennas have to be installed on a ground very large and even then their inline L or C elements are usually rather lossy thus diminishing the realized gain. Original review: I'm using this for GMRS and it's VSWR is dead flat like it should be. For most such NMO antennas one has to pay more money so this one is a good deal. What I don't know is if it's copper plated steel whip or not. A real good antenna will be, and maybe this one is, but I kind of doubt it for the price. I still recommend it unless you're going for really high efficiency. Oh, a word about 1/4 wave vs "gain" antennas. Long story short, those longer gain antenna almost always do NOT have the gain they advertise as in order to achieve that gain they need to be mounted on a LARGE metal ground plane like the roof of a sedan. Unless you're going to do just that, go with a 1/4 wave and you'll be better off in the end even on the cosmetic front.

Great GMRS antenna
You would think that bigger is better when it comes to antennas but this tiny antenna puts out a strong signal on GMRS. I’ve done tests and this antenna has the best signal out of all my NMO GMRS antennas. I have a Larsen 30” 5/8 over 5/8 colinear and this one works better. It’s so small you can hardly notice it on my car too. Very satisfied and my friend bought 3 on my recommendation and his work great too. I know because we talk to each other all the time with them. I have a Laird brand of the same style and there is no difference in performance.

Not as wide of a bandwidth as claimed
Cheap and effective. Bandwidth is 434-477 MHz on the package. Works OK below 434 MHz with higher (but acceptable) SWR. Chances are you are not going to use it on the lower part of 70cm anyway (below 432 MHz). Low profile, relatively quiet at high speed, comes with a decent rubber NMO seal. Works well on GMRS/FRS frequencies with decent SWR.

Tram 1126-B Works For Me
I almost started laughing when I saw how small this antenna is when I opened the package. But, I must say this thing works. I replaced a ghost antenna I was using on my 4 door pickup with this antenna and I noticed a difference right away. SWR was very acceptable on the GMRS and the 440 Mhz ham frequencies, and with the excellent ground plane on my pickup roof it's performing very well. I usually run around locally, and I can hit all of my saved repeaters using 15 watts within a 25 to 30 mile radius. Not bad at all. Plus, it's only 6 inches tall so I can still pull in and out of the garage without removing the antenna. I am happy with my purchase and this little antenna.

3.1 SWR on 462 MHZ
This is very poorly tuned- I only bought it because it was "pre-tuned" and I didn't have an SWR Meter at the time. I wondered all these months why it seemed to have the same range as the tiny radome unity gain SMA antennas that go directly on an HT, and it turns out it's because the SWR is ~3.1 on GMRS frequencies. It works GREAT at 430 MHZ, with a sub 1.5 SWR, but at 462-467 it is borderline unusable. The max effective range after testing was only about 1 mile even on a 50 watt transceiver. I would not buy if yo.u are looking for a GMRS antenna. Then again, maybe my product was defective, however even though this was a prime item it is not eligible for product support for some reason.

GMRS went 3 Miles! Totally Clear!
My wife had this antenna on a mag mount on top of an f250 attached to a midland mxt275. I forget what my meter rated the radio at, but it was a bit under 15 watts for the midland radio. I was on a hand held that puts out a little more than 4 watts when it is fully charged. 3 miles away (according to my map app) picking up a rental trailer. I expect the f250 was a bit higher elevation because the city we were at is directly on the coast. She was further in land and I was closer to the water. I was shocked how clear the signal came in!! I tested it inside the cab and outside the cab and it was great!! So I bought another one of these and the same nmo mag mount. As soon as I can get another mobile radio that puts out power like the mxt275 I will be doing quite a bit more testing.

Great GMRS Antenna for the Money!
I purchased this antenna in 2024 after making several trips downtown and having to park in a parking garage. I wanted something small for gmrs so that I wouldn't have to remove my antenna in parking garages. When I received it, the antenna didn't appear to be much more than a short piece of wire. Surprisingly the swr was good and so was the performance. I haven't used it a lot, but I am definitely pleased with my purchase and would buy again.
