The oats aren’t. Taken out of the husk. I don’t know what the oats need to be done to get just the oat. Maybe steel cut oats ?

Chickens and wild birds don't like this product.
I bought this for homemade chicken food. They really dont like it. I tried feeding to wild birds and got the same reaction.

For the cost, the deer just turn up their noses and walk away. So very expensive on that note.

The deer love it.
This product was purchased to supplement the alfalfa hay we are giving our local deer population. They had been practically starving due to the prolonged drought we are in here in South central Texas. The product was very well packaged and arrived promptly.
