Is nice combination of hot mustard and wasabi.Make sure your kitchen is well ventilated when you mix.Believe you me, the tears did flow.Very nice horseradish flavor and aroma.I love hot horseradish, but this mixed per directions is WAY too hot.I ended up cutting directions by 2/3 and adding sour cream to get it just right.And: It will still clear your sinuses.Way less expensive than pure wasabi.Will definitely buy again.

For years, after our last Japanese market in town closed, I have been looking for a spicy hot wasabi for sushi & sashimi. I have tried many different brands, all disappointing to me. Until now. This is excellent and hot. It is so good my wife and I now give it away as gifts. To prepare, just mix dry wasabi in a small shot glass with water until the consistency of toothpaste, turn up-side-down to sit a few minutes. Add soy sauce to your liking and just remember, this is hotter than you are probably used to.

This is just like the wasabi I get at my Japanese restaurant. It's nice and hot where it clears my sinuses. I love this wasabi and it will last me forever. I know it's not 100% wasabi horseradish but which Japanese restaurant serves real wasabi horseradish unless your in Japan.. I don't understand other reviews that say it's not HOT. This wasabi is hot and with great taste. And at this price, it's a steal

I thought this was different from my local Cash and Carry, but it is the same. I can get it here for $7. the product is good, but I was hoping to find a product closer to the taste of the sushi restaurants that I have been to.

I should never have trusted the seller's product description. It is totally misleading, stating "Wasabi Powder is made with high quality horseradish," without mentioning the fact that the principal ingredients as listed on the back of the bag are mustard and corn flour. The product also contains cellulose and uses artificial color (Yellow #5 and FD&C Blue #1) to disguise the use of simple horseradish instead of real wasabi. I have severe allergies to mustard, corn, Yellow #5 and Blue #1. No way am I even going to open the bag. The back of the bag also states, "This Product is NOT for Retail Distribution. Restaurant and Institutional Food Service Use only." To add insult to injury, I paid $14.20 for this junk, and it arrived with a grocer's price sticker of $3.99! Although I will never be able to comment on the flavor, I recognize that some people might like it. Nevertheless, you are definitely not getting the wasabi that you think you are paying for.

I sprinkle this Wasabi around my garden to keep the deer away.
